Dr. Leonard continues to be my doctor after 15 years. He is an excellent listener, he probes for answers as to how I am feeling, both physically and mentally, never taking my questions or comments to be silly or out of line. Listening allows me to articulate things I have kept internally, getting out "how I really feel". He always gives options for how and when to treat me for things that pop up and allows for me to have good quality time with family until some action should be considered.
So pleased that we have this doctor/patient relationship for all these years.

I have been a patient of Dr. John Leonard (Weill Cornell) for over 20 years. He combines extensive research knowledge with excellent patient care. He takes the time to answer questions and he always asks about my family. I moved to Florida over 4 years ago and come up every year to see him for my annual checkup. There is no way I would try to replace him with someone in Florida. He is aces!
Dr Leonard is professional and so knowledgeable. He listens to everything you have to say. He is courteous and has a nice personality. He listens to everything I have to say. His assistant Orelle is also professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She also listens to everything I have to say. Great team. The both really care about their patients.
Dr Leonard is most amazing doctor, i get so nervous when i see him every 6 months now, but the minute his smiley face opens the door and his cheerfulness and upbeat manner enters the room he sparks up the examining room and my anxiety lessen. He has seen all the labs, tests and walks in totally informed without agonizing the patient staring at a computer for results or typing his observations. He is best in his field - not a drop of ego or feeling rushed. Sadly i rarely ask questions, because if you are good and doing well in remission that's all that matters. Even when my lymphoma had a recurrence, he made me feel good about it. Because there is always hope, an answer and positivity - that's how good Dr Leonard's bedside manner is.
