Every year I go is very good food I been going since I was a child hood my hold family too

No matter how crowded it is the lines move quickly and the food is so good. My favorite is the crab legs a must try

Crowded place, noisy and too busy. Johnny's is a traditional place in City Island. Food is just deep fried or boiled, almost no seasoning, very bland. Crab legs are dissapointing, no meat and zero flavor. Most of the stuff if just frozen food, nothing is fresh from the ocean even though it is next to the sea. It is not cheap but beat most others in the area. It is basically a fast food with seafood, nothing is fancy but it's good for a sunny day.

Who doesn't love to sit by the inlet, and enjoy delicious fried sea food? Also other things for people that are not into sea food, burgers, hot dogs, French fries, alcohol served, as well soda, teas etc

One of the places that I call a "core memory", have been a customer for years! Always go back for their fresh and tasty shrimp and fries. The clam chowder soup is very good, too.

This is an all time favorite. Shame the close for the winter. It gets crowded on weekends especially warm ones. Worth the trip.

Love Johnny’s tartar sauce and fresh crispy fish and shrimp.fast service. Never go wrong with this place. Same taste every time I come here. I bring my own salad sometimes ‍️ nobody said anything yet. Siting outside gives me picnic vibes by the water.

Spectacular! I Love this place, first visited in 1970 and it was great then and it's just as good if not better 53 years later. Pricing is very very fair. Can't ask for more!

I’m surprised that this restaurant has such a high rating. It is regular fast food. No ambiance. Basic tables. Crowds of people.

The food was amazing i got shrimps and they came with french fries i also got ice cream and lemonade which all tasted amazing also they give you a lot of shrimp which was a shock and it had a nice view of the ocean.

First time back this season (during the weekday, last week). The food was fantastic! I've been coming here forever. Glad the quality is back. I had a couple of not so good meals here last year. I didn't speak up because I we took the food to go. Now I check the orders immediately. And if that were to happen again, I will go back inside and speak with a manager. I'm sure they would correct the issue.

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember! It's a cash only place and they have an ATM as well. But the food is amazing as always! If your in NYC and want seafood in the Bronx come to Johnny's Reef!

This place does it exactly how I want it when it comes to seafood. No frills just folks enjoying some shramp, fried fish, clams, hennecoladas, etc

Great food, fast and good variety, good drinks and nice view. Had the fried lobster tails and lobster roll

It's a good place for a good, quick bite. The view is always nice. They added heat to the outdoor dining area since the last time here.
