In late January 2023 I was bench pressing when I heard a sound in my left shoulder tear like velcro. Besides the full tear of the supraspinatus there was other damage that needed repair. Luckily I found Dr. Ticker who was able to repair the damage. It’s been 9 months since my surgery. Everyday I get a little stronger and grateful that I can do what I love.

Can't say enough about Dr. Ticker and his staff. So scared about having surgery but they were very professional and caring.

Horrible experience once you need to actually speak with someone. Dr Ticker was okay, he has no patience. I was given a steroid pack and Naproxen. I was having a bad reaction so I attempted 5 times to reach out for an alternative prescription. I automatically go to pain management. Nobody ever picks up the phone, they call back within a day or two. I was very thorough with my situation and every time they call back the answers for my concern was ridiculous. It was like they never understood what I was saying. To get a human immediately to discuss my situation was impossible and like I said the response was not even close to what I was asking. The fifth time I spoke really slow and explained again. Never called me back.
Needless to say I have an appointment with another doctor next week. I need to transfer everything thing the pompous doctor did. This should be a huge challenge. The name says Hilary but it’s Doug

Had a great experience with Dr. Ticker. After being in his care for 8 months and trying everything before surgery. Surgery was the only option at the end. I can honestly say that having my shoulder surgery with Dr. Ticker was a great experience. My pain was very minimal. Four months post up and my shoulder is doing great. My second apt with Dr. Ticker, he’s great, explains everything, doesn’t push surgery, lives in the real world AND he has a great sense of humor. And I forgot to mention he’s brilliant! Dr. Ticker is an amazing surgeon. I had my first ever shoulder surgery in January and he was very thorough. He not only explained to me what he was going to do but also what to expect after.

I first met Dr Ticker at the US Open in 2002 as he was the assigned-on call Dr! Well, he certainly lived up to my expectations! My shoulder surgery went well with minimal pain. I feel fortunate that he was still in practice and local. Not only is he a master surgeon but he is kind, caring, a listener and has a great sense of humor! I felt very confident in his care.
