Jongro BBQ reviews
20Food is rreally good, and good portions, service is not that good but I will recommend it anyway
Big night with a big crew. Food was fantastic and service was top notch. Yes - it’s a little pricy especially if you drink as much as we did - but well worth it. Highly recommend.
Really like the Korean BBQ. The service is excellent. They have a button you press and the server comes to the table. The meat is high quality and taste so good. Definitly should try the marinated beef and the tofu soup.
Came here for my 20th birthday with my family (a party of 4 but 5 including our dog) 1 hour before closing on a Sunday night. The server was polite - even offering water for our pup! Since we brought our pet, we sat outdoor in the tent, which was comfortable, warm and well lit. We ordered noodles and 2 different meats, and the food was great - yummy, good quantity and quality!
My family of 5 ate at Jongro on
March 20th. We had never tried korean BBQ so we were anxious. Our waitress was perfect.she quided us to the best experience that we could have wished for. We had a variety of beef and pork with soju and extra dishes. Clean, friendly, reasonably priced and great ambience. Perfect for a beginner to korean bbq.
This is my go to spot for Korean BBQ in NYC. The pork belly is a must have when visiting Jongro!
Delicious. Then ran home to poo my brains out. Meat just makes me poop. It was so good. The service was quick. Attentive.
The food here is superb. There is usually a wait buts worth it. Be warned that this is a pricey dinner, but if you don't mind spending the money you'll have a great time. Great place to have a medium sized group of people for dinner. Large groups will probably be split up.
New favorite Korean BBQ spot. The beef is always the best cuts and it’s always cooked to perfection. Love the bulgogi too. ️
This place easily could have been a 4 or 5 star place however the overall experience really brought this restaurant down. Steak was delicious but small portion size for price. I left the place hungry.
The wait to be seated was over an hour and then when we were seated you are soooooo incredibly rushed to get out. I guess that's good from a business point of view but as a customer it's a huge turn off. I won't be back.
Tasty and 1st quality. Service is not 100% welcoming and prices are more expensive than described in previous reviews
Fun, loud and fast-paced, a meal at Jongro is something special. Korean BBQ junkies and newbies alike will be happy here. The wait staff is helpful and efficient.
We visited this restaurant on September 29th 2018, and it was great! The restaurant was very well organized when it comes to waiting line. When we got seated, the service was perfect and the food was downright delicious. It was an amazing experience!
Tourists, beware. We were tourists and when we came back home, we realized the waiter charged an extra 20$ for his tip. We had to contact our bank and argue to get that 20$ removed.
Excellent restaurant, tourists beware.
One of the better kbbq spots on the block! Go at night and be prepped to wait in line. Still worth a visit, wait or no-wait.
Came here with my mom. I want to come back. Prices are high for the bbq but it's a great experience. I'd give 5* but it was I believe 40$ minimum for the cheapest meat for the bbq for 2 people. We had noodles too, very good. But special occasions unless you got that $$$
First time eating Kbbq and it did not disappoint! I definitely loved the brisket and kimchi together. It was so fun to cook our own meat and enjoy a nice time in a big table. The wait time was short and plenty of parking. I got the meat sweats!
A very popular place to have Korean barbecue in Ktown. This place can be over crowded-so make sure everyone in your party is present or they won’t seat you. Service is quick but don’t expect the staff to be engaging. The smoke isn’t really that bad but it could stick to your clothes. Am not too crazy with their soups but definitely the meat that they use is tender and very tasty.this is a fun place to be. Happy eating and be well! ️
The food is good, but it's loud, it you can bare the noise or create some of you own this is a great after work dinning spot.
Really great Korean bbq with absolutely amazing service. While I can’t compare the prices to all the Korean bbq places in New York, I found the price extremely reasonable for any manhattan restaurant and competitive with any Korean bbq I’ve eaten in the US. Love this part of town and look forward to our next visit here.
Great service and they have a good selection of meats. One of the best Korean bbq places in the city. Just be prepared for a possible wait if you go during peak hours.
