5Dr Welischar is not only a remarkable surgeon but a wonderful, caring person. She treats her patients with respect, dignity, and most of all with compassion. If you are in need of an obgyn you could not be in better hands than Dr. Julie Welischar.
I have been seeing Dr. Welischar for the last 6 years after a bad experience at a different OBGYN group. She has always been thorough and really has a lot of experience with all kinds of women's health situations.
Recently, at 37 weeks (first time pregnancy), I was having issues with high blood pressure. I went into the office weekly to monitor it as well as my baby for any signs of distress. We made it to 39 weeks before it became apparent that an induction would be needed. On the day of my induction, my baby was showing signs of distress during the contractions. Dr. Welischar was watching the monitor and just knew something was wrong, she suggested we do a C-section for the baby's well-being. Had we not gone with a C-section, I would have lost my baby because the cord was tied around his neck.
Dr. Welischar saved my baby and words could never express how thankful I am to her and her unwavering efforts to bring him into this world. She was a pillar of strength for me during one of scariest things I have ever experienced.
Dr. Welischar was my Doctor for labor and delivery and I am SO grateful for her. She made me feel safe in her hands and when I felt a need for change in my original birth plan, she hopped on board and made me feel supported. She also let me know I didn’t need to justify my request and to simply just state what my needs were. She made me feel empowered and again SAFE during my labor and delivery. Same goes for my follow up, she called right back during late on call hours, and again I felt cared for even during my postpartum care. I cannot thank her enough!
Dr. Welischar is amazing! She made me feel so comfortable at my appointments and has a great bedside manner. She listens, is very caring, and is a thorough doctor.
