Jupiter Cab Service, Brooklyn NY

I found Jupiter several years ago, and they were great. I just used them again from and to the airport, and they were even better. When you book, they ask for your flight number in case of delays. They send confirmation reminders if you book far in advance. After you arrive, the main phone number identifies you by your phone number and connects you to your driver. On my return ride, they were able to change my pick up time without issue. The drivers were on time and very friendly. And it's an affordable fixed price (vs.many other services and Uber). I will definitely use them again.

This is the worst Taxis service ever! When you call they hang up on you and when they tell you to wait the taxis never comes! Avoid them in every way!

Made a last-minute booking for an airport pickup, needing a rear-facing car seat the next day. I made the booking online and quickly received a confirmation call from a human being, which was reassuring. When we landed, we already had a text from the driver and he was patient as our bags took time to arrive at baggage claim. Apart from the car having a bit of a gravelly engine note, the experience was great.

Good prices, good drivers, clean cars, respectful, quick, reliable service. Never wait more than a few minutes.

I ended up in the ER after the treatment receive for a so called customer service. Besides a few drivers that are just insane.

I am a cancer patient and I take chemotherapy every week, unfortunately I had been using Jupiter taxi, but the customer service here is just rude beyond words very capable of making anybody to have a heart attack or nervous breakdown.

Never in my life have seen such a rude, inhumane people as the customer service here, and there is not even a supervisor” or anyone in management to speak with.

IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS THATS EXACTLY WHAT THIS PLACE WILL GET! LEFT ME AND MY TWIN GIRLS OUTSIDE IN THE COLD NO CALL OR NOTHING AFTER I KEPT CALLING THEM THE GUY THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE IS RUDE! DONT CALL THIS PLACE AT ALL MY FIRST TIME EVER LEAVING A REVIEW ON ANYTHING! SMH ….

Absolutely terrible car service, wish I could give 0 stars. Do not use. I made a reservation online, called to change my pick up time, which they confirmed my name and reservation, and said I was good to go. I asked for driver info, they said they would just call me. Car never showed up. When I called, and texted the number, no one answered. I was never assigned a driver, no one showed up, and I was left stranded at 10: 45 pm at night. DO NOT USE- better off relying and waiting for uber/lyft.the extra money you would spend is worth knowing you actually have a ride picking you up.

This company does not even deserve this 1 star. Waste of my time called at 4: 11pm and waited for a cab over 10minutes. Called back again and they informed the cab should had already shown up. Receptionist claimed he called for another and would come in 5 minutes. Waited anothe 15 minutes. What a slap! Another NO SHOW DUMB DRIVER. 1st and last time I will call.

DONT TRUST OR EVER USE THIS SERVICE, I BOOKED A CAR TO TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT 7AM PICK UP AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP, I CALLED AND THEY TOLD ME NOTHING THEY CAN DO, MY FAMILY AND I WAITING OUTSIDE WITH OUR LUGGAGE AND COULDN'T GET CAR SO HAD TO TAKE MY OWN AND ALMOST MISSED FLIGHT

Booked this service from Newark airport with our 2 yr old. Driver was timely and called us twice on his way to confirm our location. Car seat was provided and installation was quick and driver was professional and friendly. Total cost to lower Manhattan was more than we expected ~$120.

UPDATE: They refused to refund money to my CC. Read the saga below, or just take my word for it and steer clear.

Jupiter called me after seeing my review. They tried to justify the pricing by saying the employee simply quoted me the wrong price. I told them they still are responsible for the price and their employee and that I wanted my money refunded to the quoted price. They said they don't have the capability to do that and said I could just have $15 off my next ride. Simply let them know on next booking. Why would I trust them after the run around on price? I pressed them to refund to the card. They said it would take 5-7 days. I said ok. Then they said they actually couldn't do that and that they would need to Venmo me personally. I declined that option and they said then I'd just be taking a ride on this then as there were no other options. I told them that I would just dispute the charge if they couldn't help me. They kept trying to argue, but refused to refund the money. I eventually hung up and am dealing directly with AMEX.

Driver was great, booking and payment is awful. I booked online and then called to confirm. They had no record of my reservation. So, I booked a new ride over the phone. The dispatch said they weren't able to offer the guaranteed $43 LGA airport price but could do $47.50. I said ok and paid over the phone. The charge showed up on my CC as $55.05. So I called yo have it corrected. They said the rate should have been $43 and perhaps they added a tip for the driver. I tipped the driver in cash. I was told a manager would call me back by end of day if they did over charge me. It's been 2 days and no response from them. I'm going to try to get refunded one more time by them before disputing the charge on my CC.

Steer clear of Jupiter. It's not worth the hassle to save a few bucks. Better off using Uber or Lyft.

Avoid at all cost if you don't want to lose your trip if going to the airport. Its the most unreliable car service experience we encountered in the 20 years we’ve lived in NYC. We chose them because it was recommended for parents traveling with babies (8 months old). Not only did they schedule the wrong time to pick us up but when we called and they tried to fix it they sent the car to the wrong address. We had to take our own car seat and take a taxi after we waited for more than an hour for the driver to pick us up. We missed our flight and our first vacation with our 8 month old baby was ruined.

I should have read the reviews before hiring their service. It was the worst car service experience we had. Because they scheduled the car service at the wrong time and to the wrong address we waited more than an hour for them to arrive. Of course we ended up loosing our flight.

Last time I ordered a jupiter car they called us at the exact time they were supposed to pick us up to tell us they’d be arriving 45 minutes late. When we asked why they didn’t warned us beforehand they hung up and stopped taking our calls.
We weren’t planning on using them again but we needed a last minute ride from the airport with a baby and didn’t have time to look for a different company, so we tried them again.
The driver arrived with the car seat facing the wrong way. I told the driver it should be facing backwards. He said no one told him. I said I mentioned it in every email (which were 3). He refused to change it and was extremely rude. I told him it was a safety issue (regarding a baby!) and he couldn’t care less. Basically told me in a very rude manner to take it or leave it. Very unacceptable.

Currently sitting in the car that arrived 30 min late to the airport, 9+ hours after I reserved it and got confirmation through their website. They clearly didn’t plan at all. They only called a driver after O called THEM upon landing. *Cue Seinfeld “I don’t think YOU understand reservations work” scene. * So he arrived 40 minutes after I called them and 30 minutes late for my reserved time. The best part is he doesn’t have a credit card machine when I specifically selected card payment in my reservation. Luckily the person meeting me at my destination is taking cash out for me. This is the last time I trust Jupiter for anything. A yellow cab would have been way faster and had no issue accepting credit card payment.

Our family used Jupiter for JFK runs for 5 years whilst living in Park Slope. They were always punctual, friendly, great value and the cars were clean. Highly recommend Jupiter.

They advertise using the name of reputable competitions as keywords, then fail to even show up for the early morning trip to JFK. Worse, they don’t even answer the phone at 5: 30am when their driver is already 10 minutes late. Never again will I use Jupiter Car Service
