Kailash Parbat reviews
25This is an amazing place to get some yummy Indian food. Living in Mumbai, this was always my go-to place and the taste of the food is the exact same. Try the ragda pani puri and the masala Pav and the chhole!
I would have given them 0 or less stars if possible. This is not the first time I was at this place and the reason I went back was because I liked their food in the past. But this time it was the worst I have had in my life. I ordered 3 items, tiki chaat, pav bhaji and chole bhature. Tiki was Ok, even a 5 year old kid cannot mess it up. But pav bhaji was not good at all, the pav was not fresh. And then comes chole bhature. Chole was more sweeter than gujarati deal. And when I inquired about it they said they were catering to non indians while not a single guest was a non indian. They asked to bring in better chole, which was hotter than Thai hot curry. They just put in a handful of jalapenos. In the pictures attached the green stuff is jalapenos. This is how indian food is made spicier? Like they said they cater to non indians, as an Indian I will say away from this restaurant.
This place is excellent! My personal favourite is ragda pattice, sev puri, paneer tikka lababdar and pani puri. Pls visit as it’s one of the best vegetarian restaurant in USA
Owner should be present especially during Weekends & Holidays when business is at peak. Interaction & Feedback from Customers is very precious for Improving Quality & Service. I feel happy to see International guests appreciating Sindhi Cuisine. Lot of scope for enhancing the food Quality.
Was pleasantly surprised with the service and quality of the food.
The owner Ashish and Jamaat the tender were exceptional in service.
We had tikki chat, paneer labadhar, masala chai. All exceptional and tasty.
Will visit once more when we visit this beautiful city
I ordered takeaway of two dishes - tikki chaat and paneer. The first was amazing, a must have. I wasn't sure what I'm eating, but I could do nothing but keep eating. The paneer was great as well, though I would have prefered the rice to be somewhat salted. Both dishes were mildly spicy. Very recommended
Employees were too busy chatting with each other while I had to finish my food without having onions for my chole bhature
Bad service, grumpy waiters. The food was poor quality and nothing like the KP food one is used to. The Ragda Pattice was a deconstructed Ragda Pattice and when you have to remind the staff to bring chutney for the dish you know it's a crappy imutation of an Indian restaurant. I would never go back and would suggest the same, save your money for better quality food.
Not worth spending,
Busy days services detoriats
Some of items were quite less with salt.on expressing, they were not interested to know, rather afraid of what to do.try out other places near by like Savarnabhavan and Pongal, even in busy time they maintain test and service.
Awesome Authentic Indian food. The spice and flavors are perfect blend of Indian food. Loved the place. Highly recommended.
Tried the Paneer Tikka Lababdar and Veg Chilli Milli. Tasted really good. Slow service. It'll be better if there is a hand wash area outside of the only restroom that's available.
I don't usually like vegetarian food but I did like the food here. Not an expert in Indian food by any means. It was on the pricier side.
Too long a wait! Also would appreciate if the staff at least smiled at you! Food was very good!
Nice food but taste on a milder side.won't say that it was really good tasty. Can improve on taste and presentation level for sure.
Bland food for a South Indian palate. Food tastes better when you tell the chef to make it extra spicy!
Slightly more expensive than I would've liked when I was looking at the menu but once I got the food that didn't matter. It is such a cool experience and definitely worth it. The food came very quickly so there wasn't a long wait. They gave my group water while we waited. I ordered a Thali which had a bunch of small dishes to taste and they were all good. It is a great alternative to traveling to India and a great place to get some authentic Indian food.
Decent Indian food. I would say that it is really really good for chaat (roadside Indian food), chole bhature and paneer tikka. Everything else is pretty average, especially taking into account the other Indian restuarants nearby. The service is alright, they can be a bit slow at times. On the cheaper side, so that's another plus!
Pathetic delivery. Asked for food at 10 pm. Called 6 times and every time person saying in 5 mins. At 10: 30 guy who picked the phone said I cant do anything if delivery guy not reached at ur place. Not my responsibility. Really.cant believe that.
Bad food and service. The server asked us to order in case we wanted more food as she had to cstch her train. Never heard this one from a server at a restaurant. The manager was not even humble or apologetic.

Eat the World NYC review:
With a famous chaat bar and the introduction of Sindhi cuisine to New York City, Kailash Parbat has some very special things happening. Try Sindhi curry, a special Sunday dish eaten with families that can be sampled any day of the week here. The first location of this famous Sindhi restaurant was created in 1952 in Bombay, and the history and skill has transferred very well to Lexington Avenue.
