Karazishi Botan reviews
20Cozy and humble little restaurant with a cute backyard seating. The menu is fun and quirky with some really unique ideas as well as fusion. Staff is welcoming and the experience feels authentic. Extra points cuz I like their kitchen ware**chefs kiss*
Ramen was delicious, we tried two different types and they were both good.
Atmosphere: small, cozy place and great staff.
My only complaint is that the ramen (priced $19-$22) doesn't come with the extras that would normally be expected. So I had to pay an extra +$3.50 for an egg, +2 for seaweed; and no narutomaki.
This place is outstanding. The service is nice and fast even on a busy day. The food is amazing. Totally worth it.
I don't understand the good reviews. Maybe I was unlucky? I got takeout, and it is the worst ramen I've had. There were no toppings other than a couple of dead scallion pieces, it came with just noodles and 2 pieces of pork. And it is $19. The broth was not good either. Shishito peppers were so salty and no flavor. Had to order from a different place.
My goodness — our entire experience at Karazishi Botan was just incredible. Hands down the most flavorful ramen I’ve ever had in my life. I left feeling satiated and didn’t crave anything sweet afterwards - the umami from the broth created a taste in my mouth I didn’t know existed. Best part, the waiter told us they don’t use ANY MSG in their food…Unreal
Spicy kobu salad - delicious
Brown dumplings in steak sauce - really amazing flavors, don’t skip
Pan-head + marinated egg - real winner for me
An out of the world eating experience. Every spoonful was better than the one before. I had the Point Blank ramen and the more I smelled to more I wanted to cry it was so flavourful. My waitress was sweet and insightful. The restaurant is small and busy, so you should reserve if you want a table inside. Overall definitely one of my top 10 dining experiences so far.truly wow.
The best version of the cozy ramen place we’ve found in Brooklyn. Outstanding food and service. Super authentic and cozy atmosphere to curl up with a friend or party of 4. I got the pork chicken anchovy ramen and it was fabulous. The botan wings are out of this world delicious, super unique spice profile that’s hard to describe but a must-try. We’ve decided to become regulars!
Really delicious ramen. Friendly service. They have outdoor seating in the front, a small indoor dining space, and a covered heated backyard area.
This place is good for my nervous system and all the senses. Thoughtful menu, Super chill, warm staff, the best ramen I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for this experience.
Fu has brought his first rate ramen to Smith St in fine and delicious fashion. The wife spent many years in Japan and this is as good as the best ramen in Japan. Out of a tiny kitchen a Fu led staff turns out ramen quickly, deliciously and authentically excellente’! Don’t forget the red and white dumplings!
The best ramen in brooklyn! Deep flavors, reasonably priced, fun specials.it's a small space so you get the feeling they're focused on the food over the profits.we love it so much!
The iron man ramen is delicious and fun to eat, not sure if the rosemary oil leveled it up though.
They try to be creative with their ramen, but it doesn't really work out for me. I'm from Japan and I have never seen noodle shops putting wasabi in the ramen.
Reminded me of the ramen spots I’ve went to in Tokyo, so yea, pretty authentic. The miso ramen was delicious. Not salty, not oily, just smack in the middle. The entire shop greets you when you enter and arigato when you leave which is a great Japanese culture in nyc that you don’t find much. I am def coming back here.
Hidden gem! Best ramen in Brooklyn, super unique menu and everything is delicious. Staff are so kind and very apologetic in the event of a wait.
We liked the ramen so much that we went twice in the same week. The Iron Man III option has no comparison, the broth has a temperature that remains hot, almost boiling, from start to finish. The noodles are perfect, the toppings come separately with a rosemary oil to add that adds 10 points to the experience, the entire presentation is a luxury. The atmosphere is very good and so is the attention.
No superlatives in the English language to praise the food, atmosphere, service and pure joy. Just wow.
Great service! The dipping noodles was amazing. Got the iron men III, thought it was okay, taste like chicken soup with noodles.
I love this place. Service is flawless. Flavor is next level. I will come back again and again. You will leave this restaurant feeling happy!
Just stopped by for a beer. Didn’t get to eat here. Got the ginger asahi and it was so tasty and refreshing. Friendly service, highly recommend!
