Dr. Ackerman has been my primary doctor for over 25 years. He's very easy to talk to and he is very knowledgeable. I trust him 100%. My husband also goes to him and my son transitioned to him from his pediatrician. He's the best!

Dr. Ackerman has been our family doctor for years. We wouldn't trust anymore else to be our primary physician. He goes above and beyond to care for his patients. He is incredibly attentive a d always has time to answer your questions. I most appreciation his sunny disposition. Makes visiting the office a better experience. Highly recommend.

I had the good fortune of being a patient of his for about a year before he went downhill. My wife is an EM physician and I’m in research. We met in school and both have a genuine passion for Medicine. I’m pretty familiar with the DSM-5 (used to diagnose disorders) and unfortunately Dr. Ackerman displayed all the signs of type 2 Bipolar. Although I’m not qualified to make a diagnosis on him, based on his sudden mood and demeanor shift we came to a very similar conclusion, and it’s unfortunate that the reviews are starting to reflect it.

I will not say anything negative about Dr. Ackerman because he may be going through something that’s causing this behavior; however, it’s in everybody’s best interest if Patients with mild-serious ailments find an alternative provider. If you have no major health concerns and need a doctor for your checkups, blood tests, and other routine practices then having Dr. Ackerman as a provider shouldn’t be an issue.

I hope Dr. Ackerman gets help and lives a meaningful and healthy lifestyle.

Poor bedside manners. Overbooked all my appointments for 16 years. I’m surprised I tolerated it this long. Today was the last straw when I had to sit in a room for an hour. When I complained to nurse practitioner that why do they overbook and meanwhile I was probably second or third appointment of the day Kenneth Ackerman came out and said there are 600,000 physicians in United States maybe you should find another doctor. Rude unprofessional maybe being a doctor is no longer for him and he takes it out on his patients. I think overbooking is just the way to rip off insurance companies by not giving attention to patients

Dr. Ackerman has been my internist and overseer of all my medical care for 20 years. I give Dr. Ackerman my highest recommendation because because Ken is always current with applying the very latest medical advancements in diagnosis and treatment. He has referred me to phenomenal specialists in cardiology, gastroenterology and radiology.
His peers speak of Ken and his patient management in respectful and at times, differential words and tones. Dr. Ackerman has always impressed me with his courteous and kind manner. Dr. Ackerman has always honored my trust in him; I have three family members under his care and more than six colleagues of mine treat with him after my initial recommendation.

I think the good reviews of this guy - I won't go so far as to call him a doctor - are left by his friends and family. I found him to be absolutely despicable- lacking in bedside manner, not knowledgeable, and zero empathy. He's rude, dismissive, and does not seem to enjoy his job. Please save yourself the heartburn and go to a doctor who cares and who enjoys being a doctor and actually practiced medicine.

He was my doctor for about 8 years. At the beginning he was good but somewhere in the last 3-4 years he's lost his bearings and is off somewhere else. Rude, detached, no concern. It's as if he doesn't want to be there anymore. Like to brag he's Pre Health's biggest producer (he's running a factory of the money). And he's hired himself out for TV informercials for products he knows don't work. Ask him abut his watch, his new shirt, he'll talk your head off. Ask him about a health related issue and you're lucky to get two sentences out of him. A loser and an egomaniac all in one. Do not use this guy.

Dr Ackerman should not be allowed to practice medicine. The lack of time and care he allocates for his patients is unacceptable.
He is incompetent & dishonest which makes it worse. Forget about bedside manner - there is none.
Been waiting a week just for a call to be returned. Still waiting.
An unmitigated disaster

He is a great doctor with a delightful "bedside manner. " I have been a patient for over 25 years.

PARKING: ample parking but this building services many patients so it can be a full parking lot at times. The building is amongst several others on one big piece of land. So there’s parking all around.

EASE OF APPOINTMENT: very easy and simple. Timeframe was within one week.

OFFICE: clean environment, location is on the 2nd floor, four elevators to transport you or stairs to take as well. Lobby also had a large directory board in alphabetical order to help you find who you are looking for and where they are located. The waiting area was half full. There were plenty of magazines. There were outlets for phone charging. I needed that. Ugh. Thank goodness.

STAFF: the front desk staff is visibly busy. There was one overly loud female who was sitting in the middle. She was a hot mess. Loud on the phone, loud off the phone; super hyper or annoyed at whatever just took place. I took a deep breath and said please God don’t let her call. Thank Goodness the woman next to her looked up and said next. Whew! I think she saw my facial expression and saved me. Lol

MY ACTUAL VISIT: I was called in by a nurse named Donna who was super nice and she took my vitals, performed an ekg, took blood and urine. She was efficient considering I have tiny veins. Got it on the first try! Bravo Nurse Donna! I was impressed by her. That’s truly a big deal for my poor arm. When Donna finished I was seen by a PA, who took my history. Then came Dr Ackerman who introduced himself and we spoke of my history and he gave me a physical. Let me just say that this doctor deserves every compliment there is out there because he was patient, compassionate and kind. He didn’t rush through the exam, nor did I feel like he didn’t listen to my concerns which is how it seems to be with others. Quantity over quality is something that is plaguing our providers but not this guy! He truly is a gem. He was very informative, very patient, knowledgeable and showed a genuine interest in my overall health. He gave me two different referrals which were much needed and he also informed me of different strategies to implement on my weight loss journey. I was very happy when I left and that’s the experience a person seeking treatment should have. He’s definitely a great asset to ProHealth. Keep up the same great energy and good work!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 stars
I would definitely refer others for care and treatment.
