Kestane Kebab reviews
19The food is excellent. We were treated very good by serving staff. The owner was very welcoming and gracious. A lot of excellent choices from the menu. A must stop if you are in the Greenpoint area.
Love everything about this place. Nick runs a great restaurant with great food and is always fun to chat with when I stop by.
Authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Delicious Shish Kebab in pita bread, soft meat. Fresh and very good. Nice and quick service. Nice interior design. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Nezdep (waiter) is the worst waiter: the man in black t shirt on his 50s unfortunately he do not know how to behave with customers …on top he threat customers who there to dine in.
He was smoking front of our table too … unbelievable person never saw someone before … have no idea why he is still employed by the Restaurent owner.
Chicken Chops - 9/10
Chicken Adana - 8/10
Lamb Shawarma - 9/10
Mushroom salad - 7/10
Atmosphere - 9/10
Service - 6/10
Great place to take family and friends. I enjoyed the food. Mushroom salad was something different. A lot of lemon in it made it a bit sour but it was ok. I like that they cook the lamb shawarma a bit well done. Chicken chops were giant and tender. Chicken adana was full of flavor. Eat everything hot and it will taste really good. You can make your own food combinations. The waitors won't do it but the chef will. Service was not so great for me. Once the waitor served the food, he never came back again.
Nezdep the waiter (on his 50’s guess) have worst customer service and also threat people and worst smoker too… leaving customer waiting he is smoking by the door of the restaurant … food is good there but service is nightmare with this waiter
Ordered the large mixed veggie plate, some extra grape leaves and an extra pita. Absolutely delicious! çok teşekkürler!
Great food, great ambience, great vibes. I got the vegetarian mucver pita and it was amazing! A must visit if you’re in Green point!
Food was ok, service was good and quick. (We weren't on a rush hour)
We had high hopes for their wraps but they lacked any bit of salt and seasoning, and was dry. My wife gives it a 2/5 but I will add an extra star because at least the chicken had a nice charred flavor
The best Turkish food outside of Istanbul! The owner is incredibly sweet. The food is so delicious you'll dream about it and also very affordable! In GO? Amazing! We ordered the stuffed grape leaves, eggplant salad (so good), and my favorite, the Cheese pastry roll (you can request Spinach cheese mix!). The lamb shish was so good and the lamb Adana is out of this world! Honestly the best meal I've had in ages. See you! Maybe tomorrow
Every time I visit this restaurant I feel at home the lady who does not serve the owner of the restaurant and the owner are very nice and very good with us the food is delicious, they have to approve. ️️️️️
Best chicken soup ever! The staff is kind and attentive. Been coming here since they were on Nassau. This new spot is great! Aesthetics are amazing. Hope to see more people enjoying their space because it really looks great. And the food is of course delicious, that’s a given.
I like this place and I can get my lil Turkish food fix. I almost always get Adana Kebab sandwich and the sütlaç (Turkish rice pudding with toasted top), pronounced soot-latch. Get it for dessert and it will make you happy. It's not a fancy place at all, but I'm aways happy with my order, so I give it a five for a casual sandwich shop.they deserve better than 4.2 rating.
Amazing Turkish food, clean and delicious. I eat almost everyday, little bit over priced but trust me it's worth it. (I didn't give 5 star because of the overpricing and relatively small shares)
I've only eaten there once. The Gyro was fresh and delicious. My only gripe was with the pita, the same type they use for Falafals.next time I'm ordering the wrap.
The chicken kebab platter and lentil soup are the best I've ever had. They are a little expensive but for these dishes as well as the babaganoush and haydari dip I'm willing to pay the money. Consistently good.
This place has great food that's ready quickly. Staff is always friendly and they're open late too. Just a heads-up, it's cash only under 15 dollars! So if you're stubbling around Greenpoint looking for gyro, be sure to stop at an atm first!
The rice was fantastic! The food was healthy and fresh! The price was great as we ate in and were served on ceramic China plates!
Great red lentil soup with just enough lentil texture and a kick of fresh mint plus all the warming spices! Would order again. Juicy lamb kebabs.
