Specifically the older cashiers are consistently rude and lack customer service skills. They treat everyone they don't know as if they're second hand customers and hold up the line because they're busy chatting to customers they do know. This is just one of the many ways your check out experience will be awful. It's just not worth going to this place anymore. The prices don't match the service. And I don't need anyone to be a sweet butter cup who works there, but cashiers who have some basic common sense and courtesy would be great.

Large for the neighborhood, good selection of items, and clean. I like the deli items and produce. Good prepared foods, too.

Great supermarket, always fresh meat, poultry, bread, fruits & veggies. Extremely clean supermarket. Excellent, friendly staff/worker's friendly & extremely helpful! If you don't see what you want they order it for you. Great deal's on weekly sales.

This is the BEST Supermarket in Astoria. I love shopping here.

I went here yesterday I wanted to get some Italian sausage, & some Rib Steaks. They had what I wanted. & The Prices were better than in any other Supmkt. Even Grass Fed beef amazing & got home cooked it up. Delish! The staff extremely helpful & cashier put a smile on my face I know her for yrs.

I just wish their delivery hours could be extended. It would make a great asset for all who shop there. Thank you.

Aisles are a bit narrow (like all stores in the area) and not a large selection, but reasonably priced and convenient.

I've been going here for about 3 years. The store is clean, bright, and well-organized.
They typically have a good selection of most things, especially considering the size of the store. Their craft beer selection is fantastic for a grocery store. Meats are pretty limited, though, and their selection lacks a variety of cuts besides the typical beef chuck and round and pork loin. I've never seen lamb at the store either. During my most recent visit, they replaced half their beef selection with the artificial, overpriced, plant-based alternatives like Impossible and Beyond. No longer can you get the family packs of simple ground beef. Not everyone wants to pay a premium for chemical off-tasting alternatives.
I do like their sales, especially the 10/$10 Chobani yogurt specials. Most of the time, the sale applies to all types, but strangely only to the original varieties during my most recent visit.
One super annoying issue I have is that the bottle deposit machines on the side of the store are rarely attended to. Out of maybe 10 trips to the store, only once was the glass bottle machine not full. And if you ask the customer service desk for help, they will place the call for someone to assist, but no one shows up for at least 10-15 minutes. This is a huge shame since their beer selection is quite impressive, but it's nearly impossible to return the bottles. Further, customer service refuses to manually take the bottles unless the machine is physically broken (not just full). Since I carry these bottles back in the same bags I use to go shopping with, I have literally turned back to go home, dropped the bottles off at my house, and took my grocery shopping elsewhere for the week when I am unable to return the bottles due to a full machine.
There's also a cashier with purple hair that has a horrible attitude. She'll tell you that she's been working here for 17 or whatever years, but clearly she hasn't learned customer service during that time. When I do buy dozens of Chobani yogurts when they're on sale, for example, the lady flipped out and said she can't just enter the number of items, but insisted I put all of them on the belt to be scanned individually. Then she changed her mind and decided to try to enter the total quantity. When I said that I had 32, she decided not to trust my counting skills after all, dug through my bag to count herself (had she been more patient, she would have noticed that there were 8 stacks of cups each 4 high for 32) which messed up my neatly-placed stacks, then insisted yet again to take them all out to be scanned individually. She also counted 32 in the end. The whole ordeal backed up the line for minutes. All of the other cashiers have been very helpful and courteous in my experience, and none of them have ever given me this trouble.
Overall, it's a good grocery store but there are a few simple issues that the store could easily resolve.

This place should have its picture in the dictionary for when you look up 'bait and switch'. Anything on sale seems to be out of stock& no rain checks during the pandemic! Scamming scamming. For twenty years they've been hanging the sale sign over the wrong product making it look like something is on sale that actually is not. It's a dodgy establishment at best.

I bought Edys ice cream sticks from the freezer section and when I opened several it looked melted and refrozen. My home is only blocks away so I know it’s not me. I now have to look elsewhere to buy fresh ice cream.

Standard supermarket selection with a deli in the back. Have not had a bad experience with produce or meats. Very small seafood section. Rotisserie chicken and small hot plates are pretty decent for the price

Good supermarket, clean and organized. I find different things once in a while that surprises me. Some are in a good price, others I consider expensive.

Lines are typically short, they are very clean and fresh. Staff is friendly. They have your own check-out areas and in person cashiers. Hot food areas, nice bakery section. Overall the store has a good layout and after work I typically go here to grab a few items from for the home.

A more friendly experience that you can get from a cashier there where they actually crack a smile like trade Fair where the attitude is like they're doing you a favor by shopping there.
And so so way cleaner!

It's convenient if you live in the area, but it's a bit over priced. There are supermarkets around that offer better prices.
