Key Food Supermarkets reviews
23 Clean and always stocked to the brim!
The staff is super helpful, and the deli people are super nice! They took my order even when they had already shut down the oven.
Overall amazing experience. I recommend everyone in the neighborhood shop here. Guarantee you’ll find everything you’re looking for and many some new things too!
Hard to judge pricing but store is well stocked, organized, and clean. Management running a tight ship from what it seems.
Good grocery shop off Main street and Union Turnpike. Good price and selections. Plenty of parking.
Their always have a bad products, especially the vegetables and fruits. No paper bags, only to purchase store bags. Very small path. Leave nearby and won't come again.
After changing the management some of the staff is doing a bad job, hindering your check out even if you are using the self checkout. That is why I shop at target and stop and shop nowadays.
Very cramped, bad prices, bad service - if any. Old store that has never been updated. Unpleasant overall smell.
Odd. Most supermarkets no longer give plastic shopping bags and charge for the bags they give you unless you bring your own bag. I tried to walk in with my own shopping bag and the man at the front prevented me from entering unless I "checked" the empty bag I brought with me specifically to grocery shop. I was told it was due to pandemic and that shopping bags were free, hence everything had to be checked in.even the shopping bag I brought to shop due to virus safety. By that logic we should also undress and check in our clothing. The cashier ended up packing my $40 of groceries in 10 plastic shopping bags. If its a ghetto place where you have to check in your belongings its one thing. But to say that I cant bring my own shopping bag due to covid.
Great for socially distanced shopping. But I'm back to doing most of my shopping at trader Joes because everything there has always been cheaper, has more options for my various food allergies, more organic offerings and the outside lines go much faster since NY is in phase 4 of reopening -they're letting more ppl in at a time and I'm not as scared to be near others. This KF is a good #2 to TJ.
Good variety of items. They have many good sales weekly, but a lot of the times they run out of the stuff. Parking available.
This is the most convenient Key Food in the community. With the new remodel it looks amazing. Always fresh produce and deli meats. New management really improved the place. Employees are friendly and helpful.
The quality of the veggies is of concern, but this story had more variety than others in the area. This does not say much since there are not many grocery stores near by. The store does not encourage shoppers to bring their own bags, but the checkout staff is cheerful and helpful. The positives outweigh the negatives.
No problem with presenting ID for alchohlic beverages, however when a manager is called over to examine it, thats offensive. This happened to be my Military Identification card. I dont come here often because I am stationed overseas. I must say this was my first time feeling disrespected while in the United States on leave.
Nice grocery store, deli is awesome, lots of fresh produce and overall good selection of goods!
The store very clean good prices however the manager is racist went to go shop and he was very disrespectful asking my brother why he was in store. I told him I'm a paying customer. Then when I call to make complaint they tell me they are a franchise there nothing that could be done. Just horrible customer service
I came in to get 2 cases of Vintage Seltzer. The location is at the end of one of the aisles. Asked one of the gentlemen to bring the cases instead of getting loose bottles from shelf. He brought them up to customer service area and put them in my shopping cart.
Thanks very much.
I pass by three other Key Foods to get to this location.
Convenient parking lot. Staff are courteous and professional.
They have VARIETY here! Each food/item category has many choices to pick from big name brands, small brands, key food brand, vegetarian, organic, gluten-free, cheap/pricey, multiple flavors, frozen/fresh etc.
Bonus: Cheap deals (weekly ad), HUGE variety of Bob's Red Mill Products, vegetarian products (frozen and refrigerated), spices, extracts, breads, teas, multiple flavors of items.
Self-check out is available.
Clean, never crowded or too crowded, smells good, not cold.
Lines are short and checkout is quick.
You can't push the cart to your car unless you ask during checkout or there is a bell to ring by the outside door.
They have a loyalty/rewards card that you can sign up for.
It is in a convenient location at the corner of main street and union turnpike. This place is clean, has huge free parking and self-service purchase machine. However, prices are high while the fruits and vegetables quality is very poor! It is lean meat, but lack of fish! Price is really high considering the location and other stores in this area. Many people come since they have free parking!
Excellent store but no cashiers until 8;15 to bad because otherwise it would be perfect. Thanks Louise
An excellent grocery in a small footprint. It still manages to carry niche items I can't find anywhere else. Deli and produce section are great.
This Key Food is under new management which seems to have somewhat improved the place. They have brought in different items and everything is more organized. So far, our groceries have been ok, no mold or expired items.
Customer service definitely needs improvement. The workers all look angry, except for some of the young, female cashiers who are only nice to the male customers. They seem to be wanting attention even from married/coupled men (bending over inappropriately, etc.) Maybe they are better suited to work at a place where that is warranted. Women watch then when you shop with your men and see.
Management should train staff to greet All paying customers and end a transaction with a 'thank you'.
