King of Falafel & Shawarma reviews
10The man they call abu jaja has been in the food business for many years, and you can tell by the food. The falafel tastes like back home (Palestine) and the chicken has a nice and juicy kick to it. Service is always excellent, and people there are very friendly. And the food is at a very good price in my opinion. Fantastic
We travel from Manhattan just to eat here. I didn’t think any place could be better than Mamouns but I have to say that King of Falafel is better! The falafel pita sandwich is incredible (and only $6.99) they layer it so in every bite you get some falafel. I love it with some tahini, white sauce, and a little hot sauce. If you thinking about going here, there’s not a chance you will regret it!
This brick and morter King of Faladfel and Shawarma is busy for a reason. They have delicious food. Their Palestinian falafel is the best in the city in my opinion and their specialty, their chicken shawarma plate and sandwich, are to die for. They will make your food exactly to order, ie want more sauce or all the sauces or extra pickles, they got you! The employees are hard workers who take pride in their craft. There is no outdoor seating, and most take their orders to go or call in from this place. There also isn't much seating in the restaurant. I prefer to pickup my delicious order and take it somewhere. Being so close to the Broadway stop makes this a Grand Central Station like lunch spot for Uber and taxi drivers as well as commuters. Highly recommended this place!
One the best falafel I ever tasted in my life—a generous portion of food and cordial and kind staff. The music playing inside transports you to another place. I recommend this place to have a tasty food
I am 100% Palestinian and this place is the best authentic halal Palestinian food in NYC. My mom told me they were the best and if it got my moms seal of approval it should have yours. Made me feel like I was eating my moms home cooking that I’ve missed. They give you a good amount of food just like your grandma:)
The best place to have a good marinated flavoured meat ️.
The falafel? Was really appealing and full of flavour.
The chicken shawarma and The Teaser which comes with all meat? Was indeed fully flavoured and tasty.
Would for sure visit it again.
Just a suggestion if the owner sees it, “the rice wasn’t too flavoured it was very bland/ sticky and yellow in color. I hope they change the rice recipe in future.
Best food best customer service and the fastest service ever I mean ever. I mean there's nothing bad about this place. Absolutely going to be coming back.
Incredible food, service, and quality. This place is a neighborhood institution for good reason. Straight up the best falafel in NYC if not the East Coast.
As someone who grew up in the Middle East, I've had a really hard time finding falafel that gets close to matching how good it is back home. King of Falafel is as close as it gets to the real thing. The staff are friendly, and even give you a fresh falafel every time you stop by. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
The falafel was out of this world! With every single bite came an explosion of flavor thats indescribable. I had originally ordered the beef and lamb shawarma which was average, but the moment I bit into that falafel, I swore to myself I'd go back again and again after.
