King's Fish Market, Queens NY

Bought pre-bagged whiting, already cleaned. 2 bags for $10.

When I got home they had a very odd smell can't place it but I grow up on whiting and porgy, fish is supposed to smell like the ocean (fresh fish). Something is wrong with this fish. Even after cooking 3 pieces, it still had that smell.

Returning with fish to the store, not expecting them to give me a refund but we will see.

Also I'm contacting the Health Department, if they are spoiled then it should not be sold. You can make people sick, and you are doing it intentionally for profit.

Bought snappers from them 3 different times months apart an all 3 times my fish wash rotten an spoiled. I will never go back and I don’t recommend.

Their dish is NEVER fresh. They sold me rotten fish 3 times!
I found out they are switching the fish on you when you have them clean it and gives you old fish. Very dishonest people!

It’s a small place you can find any type of fish you like the service is good and the workers are good I highly recommended I love making ceviche

I bought jumbo shrimps & scallops. The scallops were rotten. They prepackaged scallops to hide foul odor. I got home & they were smelly. I return days later just to let them know but no one cares.

Brought shrimp and mussles from here in 2020 for a seafood boil, and let's just say that my face broke out into a whole rash. By the way, I'm not even allergic to seafood, and this is the first time ever happened to.me fish is definitely not fresh nor wild caught

I literally just went in to ask if they carry a certain type of fish. The guy who usually cashes you out (he seems to be the one in charge) disrespectfully dismissed me and stated, " I am eating my breakfast ask someone else". First off, who eats their breakfast at the cash register in front of customers?
Very disappointing and disrespectful as I am a long term customer being that it's in my neighborhood. I will NOT be returning. I will drive down linden and support my community who have Never disrespected me.

The guys butchered the fish, I asked for a whole wild salmon fileted, and the head WHOLE. What I got was a fileted Salmon with bones still in, scales all throughout and a large portion of the meat was left on the bones, and the head chopped in multiple pieces.
Never again coming here

I really don't like to give bad reviews, but the place smells so bad that I had to shower upon arriving home. The price for a pound of king fish was $10.99. The workers were defrosting fish with hot water while customers were in the store. They have to do better! Why is it that places that serve minorities tend to be so different than their counterparts? Used to patronage the store years ago and it was a bit better. By the way some of the fish were visibly spoiled. Word to the owner. You have been a staple of this community for over 20 years, you must do better by your customers. Otherwise they should all make the sacrifice to go elsewhere and not buy food that is spoiled.

Its really good and very nice fish market. They have lots of fish and very reasonable price. And very excellent worker. They also take cash and credit card. Its Little bit busy store but the service really fast. They also maintain the social destaince and face mask required. They dont have parking place but you can park in the street. They also have the cutting fish and full one. The full fish is better and affordable between the cutting one. Thanka

Bought red snapper and whiting this morning. Drove straight home, about 8 mins away and by the time I'd gotten home and opened my trunk to retrieve the fish, there was a foul odor. Was just hoping that it was in my mind but sadly, it wasn't. I ended up just throwing over $20 worth of fish away. Was my first bad experience at this market and I'm thinking it could be due to the lack of customers that normally frequent the market. Since the library and other businesses are closed (a consequence of covid), there isn't the normal amount of customers. The fish is not selling and is probably not fres.

This is my go to spot! Fresh seafood and at a reasonable price. Yes the employees need to work on customer service but it’s not unbearable.

Customer service is terrible especially in comparison to the one on Sutphin. Theres literally no organization in this store when it comes to wear the fish is. And the workers no nothing about what is being sold only the owners.

They washed the fish and left it in a bag that was POURING WATER.when i got home my entire car smelled like fish with blood and water in my entire trunk.when we asked to rebag they refused and just handed us one extra bag.not returning here again.saw many other customers angry about this

I been here a total of 3 times. My first time was last month. I waited 45 mins for catfish to be made into fillet. Was only 2 fillets was able to be made from it. Today, I wanted 2 butterfish cleaned and head off. Another customer told me they take long and I can walk around and come back. I heard numbers being called in all kinds of orders. Seen people order after me and out before me. They need to work on calling people in order. I went and asked and he goes hands me my order. How long was it already cut and sitting there who knows? I know he didn't call it.

The have fresh fish and their prices are very reasonable. The only place I buy my fish. I love it here.
