Kings Pharmacy reviews
27I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for over 20 years and in all that time I have never had anything but excellent customer service. They recently changed their prescription redial phone system and it seems to have been an improvement. Even though they had to downgrade in size and variety of merchandise, I still prefer to shop here for the more personal experience rather than the large chain store across the street.
I wife and I received both of our Moderna Covid19 vaccinations at King's Pharmacy on Flatbush Avenue. We were impressed with the efficinecy and professionalism of both the scheduling person, Judy, and the pharmacist who administered the injection, Dmitry. They have a smooth operation combined with a friendly and pleasant atmosphere the made the experience actually enjoyable. I heartily recommend Kings Pharmacy.
I asked for specialty medication to be filled here because it's within network for my insurance provider. I have a limitation on pharmacy benefits and one of my medications had a higher copay. After I reviewed this amount with CVS Specialty Pharmacy, they said the same amount would be charged by Kings and this was processed so that I could get my medication on Friday. When I called to verify my copays for the medications, the lower copay amounts stayed the same but for the higher copay drugs, Kings added $500 and expected me to pay this amount. I called my insurance provider twice to fix this, and called Kings again to verify only this time, Kings added $500 to the other medication. There is no way I would ever do business with Kings. It's a shame they'd want take advantage of a situation as this. Kings should be ashamed.
They are charging $17.99 for a can of Lysol. This is price gouging and illegal. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the community during this time.
Maskless Pharmacist at Kings Pharmacy on Flatbush During COVID Spike! I went in today to pick something up and saw one of the pharmacists at Kings Pharmacy on Flatbush working on orders without a mask. I asked a staff member to ask him to put it on, but she couldn't get his attention (she tried!).
When I caught his eye, I asked him to put his mask on. He told me he was using the phone and that he needed it off so someone on the other end could hear him, which isn't a thing (I use the phone with a mask all the time). I asked him AGAIN to put it on. He then used it to cover his mouth BUT NOT HIS NOSE. I started yelling at him, telling him he KNEW it was dangerous, that he KNEW he was handling medicine, that he KNEW as a pharmacist that covering your nose is part of the deal.
He talked back for a bit and then slid it on his nose and said, "I apologize". I yelled at him, telling him he didn't have to apologize to ME, but to the people whose medicine he was handling and his co-workers who were all wearing masks. I reminded him he went to school to be a pharmacist, too.
This is insane full stop. I've already reported them and changed my business to Park Place Pharmacy, but people need to know that there is a pharmacist there who doesn't understand basic things about health or just doesn't care. This is a danger to the community.
I have the privilege of working with Kieva to help manage my meds. Her breadth of medical knowledge is endless, her professionalism is unmatched by any pharmacy I've ever been to and her attention to personal detail is above and beyond.class act, bar none!
One of the worst pharmacies I have ever been to. The staff is cold, unwelcoming, not helpful and terrible at communicating. I came here once to fill 2 Rx's, there was major confusion regarding if the RX had even made it in. I was bounced between 2 counters, 3 employees until I could get my ORDER correct and verified. Then a separate trip to fill it and pick it up. Additionally, I came in this week at 5: 59 to pick up a medication I desparately needed. The door was locked, and the gentleman behind the glass said "sorry we are closed". He opened it, I explained that I really needed this medication and apologized for coming on the dot. He took my name, went to the pharmacy and came back and said "they told me to tell you we are closed". I asked to speak with a manager who similarly told me no can- do. I get that hours are hours, and policy is policy. But to turn someone away because of ONE minute seems a little rutheless to me, especially during these times. Even CVS/Duane Reade has afforded me more leniency in the past. This was just aggressive and unfair. Will be going elswhere for my medication and pharmacy needs in the future that has overall better customer service and attitude towards people as humans.
I just called to have my sons prescription filled and the female who answered was extremely rude
GREAT PHARMACY EVERYONE ONE IS REALLY FRIENDLY, INCLUDING THE DELIVERY DRIVERS WHO ALWAYS CALL BEFORE LEAVING THE PHARMACY AND WHEN THEIR CLOSE TO THE DROP OFF LOCATION. I WILL CONTINUE USING THEIR SERVICE BECAUSE THEY'VE NEVER FAILED ME IN THE 5 YEARS I'VE BEEN A CUSTOMER WITH THEM.
I love kings pharmacy for 2 excellent reasons
1st:
Customer service is on point with Sharna. She is one of the best employee that represents king pharmacy. She is very kind, patient, and she listens, i can go on, and this is every time I have to deal with her. Give Sharna a RAISE!
2nd:
They always have the correct meds for me. Duane Reade almost killed me.
Thank you
Service like this does not exist anymore except at Kings Pharmacy. Every time I have had a problem, this pharmacy takes care of it. They get on the phone with insurance companies and my doctors and do whatever it takes for me to get my medication. I had Sharna one of the Technicians on the phone with my insurance company for sorting out my Rx nonsense. I am thankful to have them in my neighborhood. I recommend all residents transfer their prescriptions to Kings Pharmacy.
Kings has the kind of service you won't get with the huge chain stores. So accommodating, friendly - and they deliver. The service is quick, and they'll take the time to answer any questions you have.
I'm happy to support this local business!
The girls working at prescription pickup and drop off are incredibly rude. They show attitude from minute 1.my prescription was not ready and they were basically telling me to leave like “I don’t have anything for you” “please step back”? Seriously
I’m switching pharmacy tomorrowthis is not the first time they show me attitude with no reason, so I’m done.
There is option for answering questions while pick up medicine where staff dont answer or provinding wrong answer and wrong answer in medicine could be risky.
I was in New York for the weekend where we lost our son's medical kit that contained his Epi pen. I called King's pharmacy and talked to Eugene the pharmacist. Not only that he was courteous and pleasant, but he went above and beyond to check with our insurance carrier for coverage to save us from paying the full cost (Especially that an Epi pen kit costs around $730! Which is absolutely ridiculous that a life saving medication costs that much!). A BIG Thank you to all the staff at King's pharmacy.
Was told 20 minites for a prescription to be filled. 1 hour, 10 min later, I am still waiting. Why? Because the pharmacist went AWOL. Seriously, she went "upstairs"?
Old Time Great Service. This is the place to go when you get fed up with the 'have a nice day' corporate world. Real people, honest dealings, and great little price breaks on items of interest. What's not to like?
Between the blaring TV, terrible music, constantly - ringing phone, inattentive service, and antiseptic stench, it's almost as fun as visiting the DMV.
Great customer service
Upon entering, a young man cheerfully greeted me and asked me if there was anything he could help me with today. I asked for the Tylenol, which the Duane reade across the street simply said no we don't have it. He let me know that due to their recall, Tylenol is banned for sale but there are other, cheaper products with the same active ingredient, and then showed me to those. Overall it is a nice store with a lot of products.
My doctor referred me to Kings and two other pharmacies to get prices for gonal-f and kings came in hundreds less than the other places. Service was fine. I was just happy to save the money.
