Kings Theatre reviews
13What an absolutely stunning venue. I really didn’t know what to think originally, but my goodness this opulent theatre is the best place in Brooklyn to catch a gig. I’ve been fortune enough to see a handful of shows here and I’m impressed every time I visit. The sound is always spot on and the place is always sparkling.
Bobby Brown and the staff made sure I actually found my wallet and phone after my purse got thrown around unzipped at a concert.
It has a great ambience, beautifully decorated and a cavernous theatre which enhances the acoustics. I would love it if more rock bands played there.
For how much an average ticket costs here, it's very disappointing that they force you to buy their overpriced bottled water, since you can't bring your own and none of the bars offer tap water. Support the many smaller independent venues around the city instead.
This is my first time going to this venue for a k-pop showcase (NMIXX). The staff let people in before the original door opening time which was great! The line moved quickly and the staff were professional and kind. I sat in row K and I had a great view of the stage! The only thing I would improve is to include real food options since they only sold candy and popcorn.
This theater was absolutely gorgeous! The ceiling and walls and everything about it was so old fashioned and unique. I loved how intimate the concert felt here due to the place’s charm and limited seating. They had a merch stand, and multiple bar counters to order a drink. I wouldn’t recommend though, as I was charged $5 for a cup with ice and a tiny bit of soda. Overall it was a really fun night and I would definitely attend another concert here. The venue was really well organized and started on time which is ideal. There is a closeby subway station, about 4 blocks from the venue which makes for easy travel. I attended a Ed Sheeran concert and was located on the middle section of row P and the view of pretty amazing!
Bought Kings seats to watch an Israeli singer perform Hebrew music with different people from Jewish backgrounds.
I saw one of the most amazing shows ever and it was ruined by this venue. Sure the ambiance and decor is really nice but the staff wouldn't shut up and spoke really loudly during the first half hour of the performance. The door made a loud thud every time someone walked in and out which happened for like an hour, People were shushing others the entire night, Attendees had no respect for the performance. The least the theater could do is have rules and enforce the rules to tell everyone to be in their seats ON TIME and fix the doors so they don't THUD so loudly and tell their ticket ushers to be quiet. This is done at the ballet and other venues I've been to so this isn't an unreasonable expectation.
Section 16 EE 4 was the perfect spot in a beautiful venue. Worth the extra for this experience.
With the exception of a photographer being allowed to stand behind us during the quietest instrumental performance of the evening. We should have asked them to leave sooner as they're unaware that their "silent shutter" camera presence is still quite loud when zooming, adjusting, checking the photos, moving their equipment bag around, etc.
I went on a tour of the theatre this past weekend and if you have any interest in historical buildings in New York, then this is a must visit. Our guide Peggy was so wonderful and knowledgable, it was such a great experience. You get to walk around the entire space and photos are almost encouraged. It's insane that this was abandoned for 40 years, its restoration is absolutely breathtaking.
This place is beautiful. I remember as a kid walking pass it & it was shuttered & rundown. Then they rehabilitated it & it's gorgeous. I've been here for several different events over the years. I love seeing the nutcracker here.
I really like this place. I have been here several times for events, and I have always enjoyed myself. Comfortable seats and all seats give a nice view.
