Greatest bar for punk shows; great space in the back for live bands, and supposedly there's a basement. The surrounding area is slim pickings. Decent prices-tip the bartenders.

This was the worst venue. Really narrow and claustrophobic. In between bands the crowd had to clear a path down the middle to remove and bring in equipment.

Dive bar, seems geared more towards metal bands. I go to drum and bass raves here quite often through Driven AM. If you are interested in drum and bass, this place has a lot of shows. The sound system isn't that great, the bass is boomy and can sometimes give you a headache- it seems the place really isn't built for bass music. But its a small place, super intimate for a rave. It has cool vibes, I enjoy going here, just wish the sound system was better. If you wanna see some big dnb acts in a super small venue, this is a great place to go.

Also, they give out free water cups! Anyone who raves knows this is crucial.

If you go to a show here be careful with how you interact with the staff.both performers and fans, the staff is extremely rude.

Venue of live music and alcohol as a band the venue had not advertised properly as a fan of music the venue is a bit out of the way

This little dark club hosts some MAJOR talent if you pay attention. Seen some legendary metal, punk rock, and hardcore bands here. It'd be nice if there was some ventilation though. When the pit is going off, it gets a bit nutty.

Nice little hidden gem. Not too many people were there when I went unfortunately, but that's about the only complaint. Solid 3 dollar a slice pizza. Bar is cash only, but an ATM is inside

This is just want i want in a dive bar/venue. Beers, pizzas, small intimate space. Was a pleasure to play here and a honor. Would def come back for show.

Really cool place! Smelt like peppermint and debaucherous choices. Definitely support this venue! We had a great time on tour here (Voraath).

Place is a dive but that is what it should be. A clean dive offering slices and drinks. Went for Alex Story and Doyle and the live music area is the size of my garage so nice and personal. Not a great space for sound or view but a cool little joint to check out.

This came was a shock as many touring nationals come through here. (The venue was way smaller than some pictures of the place let on. (Any picture that's shows a large, robust place isn't this room). Stage is about 9'x16' and a foot high so if you're in the back and short, you're not seeing a thing. Sound system / engineer made all the bands sound listenable, which either helped (Looking at you, Vicious Rumors, 25th Mission) or exposed some big flaws-not going to put the other bands on blast here. Kingsland comes off as if you're performing on someone's basement-and in fact, my former drummer's is roomier.

The people working there were friendly and cool. Didn't see the other problems people talk about. Also there was no food available-even though it's advertised and branded with word "grill" in it's name. (However Nonna's pizza up the block was excellent find)

Kingsland would probably work better as a NY underground venue for local bands to build up their followings on their way to St. Vitus. It should not be a venue where band need to sell tickets to open for groups 30 years pay their expiration date.

How this venue gets these type of bands and places like Blackthorne or Lucky 13 doesn't is beyond me.

One week later, I'm still shaking my head in disbelief.
