Kingston Candy Bar reviews
11Warm, welcoming and helpful as soon as you walk through the doors, I had only stopped in for their raspberry jelly doughy nuts but sadly sold out the day before, but they offered to make them if I’d like to come back in an hour or so or they would have them Saturday, amazing customer service right? Instead I bought the Galette de Rios, a light, flaky pastry with sweet almond paste inside; Toasted marshmallow bar, sweet and sticky with a nice dense chocolate cookie/brownie base; chocolate covered whoopie pie was excellent and a death by chocolate cup or is should have been called that, chocolate cup filled with chocolate ganache and sprinkled with chocolate cookie. You know they are a great neighbor and locally owned business when you stay a talk to the owners/staff after your purchase and they recommend other local businesses. Highly recommend, delicious sweets, great people and they know where the best tacos and fried chicken sandwiches are, thank you
Overpriced and stale. I’ve been in here only a handful of times but the older woman is always so disgruntled. Better sweet treats anyplace else in this area.
Kingston candy bar is LITERALLY the absolute spot you must visit when in kingston, NY! It is like stepping back in time in an old candy store combined with stepping into willy Wonka's workshop. First the smell of desserts baking will get you. But then you see all the old time and current day candy, and then the ice cream! It's so good. The creamest ice cream you will ever find! Locally made too! It's a mom and pop owned and run store in the heart of historic kingston. They have every candy you can imagine, and if they don't have what you want, Diane the owner, will try and find it for you! They also have dreamy delicious coffee and hot chocolate, and in summer, milkshakes! And they play fun and happy movies to delight kids old and young, all day every day! It's your one stop shop for all things delicious! Run! Seriously. You have to check out this place and try their delicious treats!
OK So last Week I delivered an order to the Kingston candy bar and to thank me Diane gave me this absolute delicious brownie. It was called Loaded brookie. It has the following on it.
Marshmallow (toasted and untoasted), Oreos, cookie dough, nutter butter cookies, fudge bits. But not only that they have fantastic candies homemade treats it is really a very charming old read charming old world style candy store from from lollipops to ice cream to candy This is definitely the place you want to go to for all your sweet treats. I want to thank you so much for the yummy tree it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend if you are in the Kingston area then you make sure this is one of your stops along the way is definitely a must see experience.
As always I thank you for reading my review have fun with what you're doing and keep it real because you know I do each and every day.
Thank you
The real deal.
TERRIBLE experience here today! DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDERING! Placed an order yesterday at 7pm to pick up a couple treats they usually keep in stock today at 1pm. Showed up at 1: 30 and the lady working just said “we don’t have that” and said she didn’t see the order this morning so she didn’t make it… She did NOT offer any solution, instead I had to ask if she could still make them for me ASAP. She seemed annoyed and said it would be a while… I had to ask exactly how long. She did not offer anything for my trouble. Would have cancelled this order if it wasn’t a gift for someone. DO NOT RELY ON THEIR ORDERING SYSTEM OR EMPLOYEES TO MAKE IT RIGHT.
We got donuts for our wedding. They were delicious, festive, and they gave us a few extra to try out! Everyone loved them.
Afternoon fun with the kiddies to get out and enjoy the biggest assortment of sweets that are available in one place! And the fact that you can walk the uptown scenic streets and let the sugar rush lead the way.
Had what the family wanted, specifically homemade candy. Covid-19 limited one person to store.
A joy to both the eyes and the tounge. This place is run by someone with love for the craft of candy and amazing skills. You have to pop in and treat yourself. Chocolate and peanut butter, yes please!
Just arrived on Saturday April 25th. No card No nothing. How is she suppose to know who it’s from.
So many sweets, so little space! Keep turning around, there's always something amazing behind you! Make sure you stick around for a fresh fried donut.
