Knapp's Car Wash Inc reviews
8This place is a good car wash, the owners are very nice people if u have a problem they will get back to u right away, I’ve had minor issues 2 times and been coming here for years and they make good for it both times. Much respect for the owners. Thanks
The self car wash bay is very clean. But it only allow to wash with minimum $3.25. That saying, if I ran out of time, I have to pay another $3.25 to rinse.
I normally use this car wash when I'm in Ithaca very well maintained. Excellent prices
Vacuum works great! Best in town. Always clean, and always has change in the machines. Not to mention every time I wash my car it looks great!
Money machine is not user friendly.took my paper cash bill, I received coins back and had to return the ten dollar coins into the machine
Automatic touchless wash is the best one in town (I usually rate mine based on the efficiency of the air dryer), and priced averagely. The manual wash is perfectly serviceable They lose out, though, by not having a credit-card payment option or an air dryer in the manual wash bays. That would make it a perfect score.
Conveniently located between meadow st and downtown Ithaca, this car wash takes credit card. There is usually a line when I am considering using it.
There was a time when loose change -just a couple quarters- was sufficient to operate this do-it-yourself car wash.
Not so much, anymore. Best that you bring a bag of quarters.
It's really fun to use the high-pressure equipment to clean your own vehicle (not "car", see below), especially on a hot day. Maybe not so much in mid-winter, but it is always cheaper then the alternative, the automated car wash.
There are lots of fancy options -vacuums, waxes, other chemicals- but I've always just done a quick pass of soapy water followed by a slower, more careful cleaning with plain water. It works. If I have a passenger, the passenger gets a workout operating the separate brush-on-a-stick, loosening the worst dirt between the soap run and the rinse afterward.
It's good for more than just cars. At the end of the building, I've seen semi-trailers and other large vehicles pulled up to the outdoor hoses.
