Knoth's Heating & Mechanical, Shandaken NY

I really wanted to like this company because they are local to my home and I love to support local business. Initially I thought they did a great job on my combi boiler and water tank - installed in the spring, so didn't get much use for heat until recently. 2 new plumbing companies later, I find out that they had the line from my condensation pump running to the exterior of the house, which of course froze in a Northeast winter, and ended up destroying the pump motor. After spending over $10,000 with Knoth Heating, I had to pay another $1,000 to a new plumber to fix the faulty work. I reached out to inquire with Knoth when I got this new bill, and they brushed me off, denying any wrongdoing. It's really sad when people don't stand behind their work and try to take advantage of people. Just can't recommend this company.

Great team of people at Knoth. Very professional with a decent website. They actually answer and return calls which can be uncommon in the area. I will definitely use them again in the future for any heating and plumbing needs. 5 STARS!

I was hoping to get an energy audit with Knoth Plumbing. After they canceled our first long-scheduled appointment at the last minute, they showed up and did the energy audit in April 2019. Despite many emails and calls requesting the audit over the past seven months, they have yet to deliver the report. I even contacted New York State (which funded the report). They don't answer their phone or respond to emails. Very poor customer service. I highly recommended you avoid this company.

They came both times and fixed the issues I had. And the guy was respectful.

I used Knoth twice for our air conditioning units when there was an issue. Both times the repairs were done properly and the person they sent was knowledgeable. I will be using them again.
