Japanese Restaurant Komo reviews
11Best sushi and Chinese food in town! Been a patron since they opened and Connie is doing amazing. Always ready to get us our usual and doesn't fret when we take our time to order. I love the atmosphere. This is our families go to spot for lunch or dinner!
Customers beware! This place is absolutely the worst on long Island. Be careful of the delivery man Jeff, he is a very argumentative angry man who opened up my front door and walked in my house yelling for a big tip, screaming you "gonna take care of me". Never experienced anything like this. I threatened to call the police and he started to panic. I called the manager and he was ok with his delivery man's service. Needless to say they will never get any business from us. Be careful off this crazy establishment. I wish I could give negative stars.
Fresh, beautiful, delicious!
My first time and did take out. Even the obligatory salad looked good.
I will be back for dine in for sure.
The quality of the fish is never consistent. I’ve had sushi here about 15 times and about 5 of them the fish was on the verge of going bad. For the first time today the fish was bad. I opened the container and it smelt like old fish. When I called I explained last time I had very tough salmon so if it isn’t fresh I’m uninterested. They agreed it was fresh, then I receive this.
The food is fresh and nicely prepared but more expensive then similar restaurants. I enjoyed the shumai dumplings and teriyaki chicken. Make some lunch specials and I'll gladly return.
This was my second time trying this place and my recommendation is to stick with the sushi chef.
Anything you order from the sushi chef is solid and you will be extremely disappointed if you order anything from the chef (s) in the kitchen.
The last visit we ordered take out. I ordered the two roll combo and they were made with great proportion of fish to rice ratio. The rolls were tasty and fresh.
My husband ordered a pineapple fried rice from the kitchen and boy did he regret it. It literally looked like white rice mixed with ketchup and pineapples were added. Not only did it lack wok heat, the dish was so sweet that it was inedible. It almost seemed like the chef never had pineapple fried rice before and created the dish with main ingredients on a whim. My husband forced himself to take a few more bites and he came across a hard piece and immediately took it out. The piece turned out to be an un-dissolved rock sugar!
Needless to say, we will only order from the sushi chef moving forward. Hence I still gave it two stars.
I love the golden eye roll I eat whenever come to the restaurant I recommend it to anyone who comes.
Would rather go to Yokohama for good sushi right away than wait 30 minutes at the store for fish I could catch from a stream. And this happens everytime I go
The food is always fresh, flavorful and plentiful. We share sides when we group order because there's so much to choose from. We highly recommend Komo!
Komo has always been fantastic. Always great quality and fresh fish, kitchen menu is fantastic, etc. We order takeout frequently and dine in occasionally. Service is great.
We have been here many, many times. Always leave happy. Sometimes with the kids, sometimes without. The outside sitting is nice Lunch menu offer some good value, and nice combos. Dinner menu is big, with many options. Sushi always fresh. The cold sake selection is small but good.
