Kumo Sushi and Lounge New City

Everything there is on the money. Very fresh sashimi and I am I mate on the charter boats in Montauk.

The place was too dark for a weekday afternoon. When will restaurants stop pouring iced water when it is 32 degrees outside? The green tea was spilled on the table while being poured-no one wiped it. I was charged a $1 for green tea! @#$%^&

When I asked to order a Yellowtail Salad, I was told that my entry already comes with a salad, and no substitutions could be made (I did not ask for a substitution). Miso soup was missing 3/4 of its ingredients. The 3 roll sushi lunch special was fresh and well presented.

Go to place for Sushi. Excellent Service friemdly staff. Had sushi and sashimi chefs choice for two. Great selection and no cheap stuff like egg.it was excellent!

Nice place to have sushi.it was great about a few years ago. Now is just average.still better than many around that area one thing that I hated they automatically include the tip into the bill in the Amount that they want without let the customer know about it. That is not right!

Kumo is second to none. The management is incredible. Michael, the head manager, is nothing short of accommodating and always pays attention to every detail. The food is always consistent.

I arrived a few minutes before the hibachi section opened, it was about 3: 50. So we decided to sit and wait by the stools that were against the wall. The hibachi section was to my left. So at 4 I noticed that the workers were actually sleeping on the chairs at the hibachi table, laid out. They were starting to wake up and get up from the chairs. What actually grossed me out was the fact that they all put their phones on the plates that were pre-set on the table. These are the same plates that people are going to eat from. How can you place your dirty phones on plates that people are going to eat out of. That is so nasty. I left immediately because I don’t know you or where your phone has been. Not sanitary at all.

Just okay.very standard sushi, wasn't particularly impressed with the rainbow roll.maybe it was the fish that day.i was satisfied, not wowed.

I love the lunch special at this airy, well-decorated restaurant and I return over and over. Their bento box us great - I love their teriyaki salmon - and their specialty rolls good as well. Try it!

Still the best sushi restaurant in Rockland. Never disappointed. Always fresh. Hibachi side of the restaurant is always good too.

Well first time here and so far impressed. Just ate some great shishito peppers one absolutely fire. Will cool down with Lobster Mango Avacado Orange Fruit salad Followed by a Yellowtail jalapeño Mango roll and Salmon Sweet Shrimp roll.
This was presented well and tasted even better. We will definitely add to our list of restaurants to frequent. The server so friendly and when she found out my wife was a Peruvian chef she was so excited about having Ceviche. Then to our surprise they gave us dessert on the house. Which had the best tempura green tea ice cream. Amazing

Consistently very good. I've returned to this review to make it 5 stars. The sushi is consistently fresh, carefully prepared and presented and well served. Definitely the best SUSHI in Rockland county

Delicious sushi, wonderful and respectful staff, prompt service, and just a great overall experience. The quality of the food is why I've been coming here for many years.

I always liked this place. Great selection of narutos and sushi. I tried the shrimp tantaram for the first time and it was a great filling experience.

The sushi here is really good and the service is always great. I do recommend giving this place a try. Its a great place to visit for fun night out.
