I saw Dr Nala Shin on Dec 13,2023 at the Staten Island Office.

After a monthe of eye drops and steroid eye drops and then to be told that is just retaining water in my eyes. And yet my eyes were not getting any better but worse. A friend who lives in Staten Island suggested I take the trip out there from Brooklyn to come and see her. I am forever grateful! Found out I have an infection in my eyes steroids were only making it. Dr Shin put me on antibiotic and eye drops.it's only been one day.but finally my eyes are starting to feel better!
Plus the friendly receptionist Danielle willing to help you fill out a form. Now that's friendly service!
Mustn't forget the Friendly assistant Victoria.taking down all my information. Being efficient and pleasant at the same time!

While I was seeing Dr. Kung today, one of the technicians brought me in but she was rushing me. I overheard that she complaining about how she didn’t want to miss her break, that she has to make her break. She rushed me and didn’t even answer any of my questions I had. I never got her name but she has very short hair. This is extremely unprofessional, I should not feel rushed while seeking medical care. Thankfully Dr. Kung was able to help explain and answer my concerns. I will not be coming back but this issue needs to be addressed.

Met with Andriana to discuss and finalize cataract surgery, she was knowledgeable, informative and pleasant, she listened to all my concerns and addressed each one enabling me to make a informative decision and I was comfortable with scheduling the procedure!

I can’t believe what I just experienced in this office, I was sent to this office for optic nerve damage very important medical issue and let me tell you the girl brings me in the room starting my paper work and her co worker knocks on the door and says your ice cream is here lol omg I can’t make this up.so the girl that was working on my paper work LIES and says I nenack I have to talk to the doctor …not true she went to eat her ICE CREAM.are you kidding me there’s patients waiting to be seen …horrible experience I will never go back.it showed that they don’t care about you they care more about there I’ve cream.then she says to me after I told her how rude this was she says the manager is aware of us eating ice cream omg. I suggest you people do your ice cream on your lunch break not on a patients time.very rude.don’t trust this place to help your vision cause they don’t care, don’t go to this place don’t trust them they will leave you out to dry …0 stars terrible terrible place ….

I have been going to Dr. Kung for some years and he and his staff are the most professional and personable Dr and Staff I have had the pleasure of taking great care of my needs. Absolute Best I have ever experienced. Thank you all.

An excellent experience with Kung Eye. Wonderful and welcoming administrative staff. Cataract surgery done very well by Dr. Kung. Highly recommend this establishment.

From my initial visit to my final surgery to remove cataracts from both eyes, a Five Star experience. Dr. Kung, Christine Kung and his entire staff are professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Kung took the time to explain my options and answer the many questions I had for him. The New Jersey surgical center where my procedures were performed is spotless. Starting with the young lady who checked me in and confirmed my information to the nurses, Anesthesiologist and the orderly who wheeled me to my car, all professional and friendly. Unfortunately we have all become accustomed to poor service, long wait times and mediocre results at best. Dr Kung and his staff have restored my optimism and proven to me that it is possible to provide superb service. If your in need of an ophthalmologist, look no further, the Kung Eye Center should be your choice.

When I called today to make appointment to see Dr. Campbell the receptionist was so unprofessional and rude. I feel sorry for the Doctor who probably is amazing but he just lost a patient because of his staff. I hope this eye center can do better when hiring people that are competent at their job. It is not rocket science to answer phones and make appointments. It’s embarrassment for the doctors to hear this but they have to know what is going on. I would definitely recommend new staff that can answer the phones professionally. Also the calls are recorded. Hopefully someone will go back and check each call and that would probably increase the practice.

I've been going to Kung Eye since I was 17 years old. They've been taking care of me for a solid 14 years and I refuse to trust anyone else with my eyes! The Doctors and their staff have the utmost patience, understanding and respect!

The receptionist, Danielle, was kind, helpful and patient. Dr Campbell was knowledgeable, attentive to my concerns, patient in his explanation and I left feeling I had a thorough exam. Would highly recommend!

As a business owner, I pay close attention not just to who provides the service but the quality it's self.
With that in mind, the Doc was very nice, pleasent, professional. He did apologized for lack of professionalism of his staff. Front Desk Staff - I was ready to leave. Nasty attitude, disgusting mannerism, forget professionalism. The only reason why I even pulled 2* is bc of Doc him self.

It takes a LONG time to build a good reputation and it's very quick to have it destroyed, by horrible staff.

Doctors are very nice, knowledgeable, and listen to any concerns. Have not had surgery yet, but am confident it will go well with them.
Staff is nice, though very abruptly ask for co-payments as we’re signing in.
Not happy that mistakes were made on a family member’s bill (charged for 4 co-pays in one basic visit), and they now contract out the billing to an office with limited office hours.

The best thing about the Kung eye center is not that they always call you in at or very close to your appointed time, which they do, and it is not that they have all the most up to date equipment, which they do have, but it is because the center hired Dr. Yu.
Dr. Yu employs his superior skills quietly and efficiently concerning himself not only with successful outcomes but the patients experience during the entire visit.

Pharmacy didn’t receive the prescription from the office I called pressed 3 sent to voicemail called back clicked 1 for reception & told them I need to make sure I get my medicine today because my eye hurts & that no one was answering they assured me they’d take care of it before the end of the day this is now the 2nd day without the medicine I went to this office to see. Left a 2nd voice message as well & no one got back to me. Very disappointed.
