La Buena Vida Spanish Restaurant reviews
17The food was amazing! Service was a little slow. MoJo Rising was performing tonight and I must say Jodi and MO sang beautifully. Great entertainment
My surprise birthday party was held in the private party room two months ago and it was great! The atmosphere and layout of the room/bar allowed all the guests to comfortably mingle. Plenty of room for dancing! The staff went above and beyond, even they were short handed. Tom, the owner, manned the bar expertly. And his family pitched in as part of the wait staff. Food and cake were delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to check out the outdoor deck when the weather gets warmer. Go and enjoy!

The food was not bad, kind of expensive but is ok, but the service is awful, the guy who attended us was very unprofessional not even say hello to us neither his name, and didn’t want to help us with the menu, was our first, AND LAST TIME there! Thank to this chubby guy!
Being a local to the area and passing this place literally 1000s of times i finally stopped in. The food is made with love. Wow this was a treat. I very much enjoyed this meal. I will absolutely be back. Please show an amazing local spot some love and try them out. The fresh seafood and the perfectly cooked steak hit the spot.
Paella is out of this world. Great drinks great apps and desert. Absolutely love it. Such great atmosphere. Wonderful servers and amazing Chef!
Fish was a small portion that was overcooked and very dry. I ordered a drink that took 30 minutes to arrive. Specials on the website were not available.
Pinwheel Salmon was very good. Lots of flavor. Broiled artichokes and empanada sampler tasted like they used very cheap or old oil. Left a poor aftertaste. The habanero relish that came with the empanadas did not compliment them at all.
My beautiful Mom & our beautiful friend that is family enjoyed our experience at La Buena Vida the chef cooks with love & I even had to take food home because we couldn't finish it. Mmmm delicious friendly atmosphere & can't say enough about Julisa who did amazing making us feel at home We definitely recommend dinning there & large parking lot
Great place for a meal in the dining room or an evening getting cocktails at the bar. Everyone just makes you feel welcome. I can't wait to stop in for their Sangria Sundays. It's not local to me but we'll worth the trip.
This is one of our go-to spots. They always have excellent servers. The food is great. We’ve been there for dinner, lunch, brunch and had catering, never a complaint.
Absolutely wonderful food anservice! The only negative was the flan was past its prime! Our family enjoyed ourselves the sea food was top notch. So grateful for the experience!
A gem of a restaurant right outside Moriches. Authentic Spanish food, lots of tapas, paella for one, two or the table. Grilled octopus is outstanding and although out of context, the veal meatballs were better than in any Italian restaurant. Skirt steak tender and juicy with amazing haricot verts. Sangria and specialty drinks well balanced, the atmosphere pleasant and jovial. Will be back.
First time here. Very nice and helpful waitress made some tasty suggestions. Will definitely be back.
I took my wife for her birthday, we live local but haven’t eaten in this building since many years ago.the truth is we had a certain stigma about it owing to the previous restaurant, one we both disliked even before we met. Anyway, today was her birthday, we made reservations at Daphne’s in West Hampton but bailed because of the small menu and far drive. In trying to come up with a back up plan I remembered seeing the parking lot of La Buena Vida often packed, so I looked it up and saw almost 300 reviews averaging 4.5 stars. So I looked at the menu, I saw Paella, Tapas, I was sold. When I sent her the menu she was sold.
We arrived and it was a beautiful early fall/late summer night so we decided to dine out on the deck, it was a great decision. Our server couldn’t have been more accommodating she offered to re-seat us if the flies from the pond were to much, they weren‘t and we enjoyed the ambiance.
After looking at the drink menu, we were again very impressed with service. My wife really wanted a la.buena vida margarita, but wanted it made blue. She graciously had the bar tender added the blue liquor to change the color. When time came to order we stared with the avocado crab bruschetta, it was a great decision and service was very quick. Next was the entree order, so we both ordered paella marinera. Again our server made a suggestion and informed us its a big serving, we could easily share it an order another tapa (which means she was also a mind reader). So after seeing how torn we were, she suggested an off-menu item - stuffed sweet plantain - and upon hearing I didn’t wast meat graciously swapped out beef for shrimp.
Our food was hand delivered and served onto our plates by the chef. This service was phenomenal, but even the amazing service did not compare to the perfection of our meal. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and season, the sweetness of the plantain pair beautifully with the savory of the shrimp. The paella was also perfectly cooked, the saffron rice was amazing, with the generous amount of shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels. The meal was very satisfying.
For dessert the fried cheesecake was highly recommended and “Wow” is all either of us had to say. It was easily the apex of the meal, sweet savory, with a crunch, and a hot/cold temperatures balancing to perfection. Dessert even came with a song and ”Happy Birthday” in caramel.
We strongly recommend this neighborhood gem. There is nothing like it around, the chef is talented, the staff is amazing.if you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for!?
Spanish guitar, or flamenco would be a good option for background music to generate a better experience for the diner! Food 10/10, service 10/10
Valencian paella is a succulent delicacy for the palate, very tasty. I recommend it %. The medium-rare meat is perfect.the kindness of the service is very friendly, attentive.
