La Choza Del Gordo, Queens NY

Me and my family would often drive by this restaurant and always wanted to go in but it was always busy. We decided to go last night and so glad we did! Not only were we seated right away but The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Very generous with the alcohol too not like some places and our waiter Jesus was very attentive. I should have came here for my birthday last week!

Ajiaca soup didn't taste right. The waitress apologied and removed the soup right away at no charge. The Service was very slow regarding it wasn't busy. When we got the check we got charge for an extra Ceviche that we didn't order and the Ajiaco. I don't think we will go back.

The food was good, the place was nice, the service was good. However, when the check came the prices for most of the items were about ~15% more of the price in the menu. We brought it up to the waitress attention, and they tried to make look as a tax, although the actual tax was written the end of the bill (as usually). At the end they corrected the bill for the prices as appear un the menu. Lesson learned: Enjoy your food BUT check you bill.

Excellent place, good atmosphere, the waiter very friendly, attentive, joked with us but always professional, the food was very tasty and the sangria was very good!

The authentic flavor of Colombian food. Good customer service, difficult Parking. At night time it becomes more of a bar so if you looking for a quiet place to eat this is not your place.

Food and drinks were good, nice atmosphere and great service with the best JESUS. Gracias por todo! Coming back soon!

4 stars based mostly on great service, I had bistec encebollado which was meh.wanted a whiskey with ginger ale and they didn't have ginger: (waitress Diana was very apologetic and quickly offered some replacements.my family members ordered some of the seafood platters which they said were spectacular. I would also advise against sitting near the very thin walls, not very insulated.very fun environment with Salsa playing loud enough to enjoy but low enough to allow a conversation on the table

Had some drinks with a friend here, the drinks were great and strong the customer service is top tier they were very attentive and helpful. Will be back soon:)

I was hoping for more.the place looks nice but the empanadas were fried and not baked (not traditional Colombian empanadas) and came literally frozen at the centre. The server seemed annoyed that I complained that the empanadas were frozen and then brought back an almost burnt batch. The rest of the food was better but I was disappointed, also super expensive!

I was expecting better from a Colombian restaurant and for the price.but the food look like it was serve from a deli bar
