LA Fitness, Huntington Station NY

I love the pool. Although sometimes it gets crowded. The management at this place has been very poor. It has been dirty and the locker room I'm afraid to put my feet down. The showers are not clean I see the same Band-Aid in the shower day after day. I am a disabled veteran and use the handicap shower the bar broke off and they just put it back on without fascinating it so if you grabbed it it breaks off I fell and hurt my head. I complained three times and it never got fixed. I have pictures. Also the shower that is able to be manipulated with a hose broke and was broken for weeks and weeks I actually got a shower head and replaced it and put it on. It is a disgrace I use the handicap toilet and there was no paper. The bathroom is also disgusting. Well not disgusting but not up to standards. I don't know what's wrong with men in Huntington but they relieve themselves like animals. However the management has changed so I hope that the club has some better operations. I am not a real weightlifter I enjoy yoga and the pool The pool was constantly being fixed and although I can get notifications from the app I never got a notification so I would walk to the club with my bad heart and then be told that the pool is not ready. And for some reason it was broken for more than a month. And every day they said oh 3 days oh a week oh three days. I don't know I don't know. Apparently the pool is managed by another company and not managed by LA fitness and it is a easy way to put people off cuz LA fitness says it's the other company the other company says it's LA fitness. And LA fitness can't get it fixed or else they break their contract, their warranty, or shall I hear. I should get a refund for that month because the only thing I use at the gym was not available to me. Now as far as the service people are very nice and very good. As I said the management was very bad but I hope that operations get better there's a new manager he seems to be on the ball although the cleanliness of the showers still while improved is not up to standards for a respectable club. I enjoy going here it's not too crowded people are nice although everyone is in their own world and never recognize this or says hello to anyone. So it is a mixed bag at this LA fitness and while the pool is broken I got to experience another one and that club was much bigger and better so bye I can't go there without spending $40 in cab fare, I guess I'm stuck with my two-star mediocre hopefully on the way up club. But for $40 a month what do you want?

Heather the manger in LA is a wonderful person, she makes sure everyone is taken care of and she keeps the place nice and clean

I like LA fitness except the loud music, especially in the locker room. The music is so loud that it makes me have a headaches sometimes. I asked to the receptionist but she said she couldn't do anything about it.

Every time i come in I am always greeted with a warm welcome by Kai and Jessica! They are great and make me feel comfortable going to this gym as someone who is just starting out.

I’ve been to many different gyms across Long Island & LA Fitness Huntington is by far the best I’ve joined thus far. From the friendly staff greetings to the cleanliness of the facility, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for an all in all great fitness club experience.

I've been coming for almost 6 years, and I have to say that this gym is like no other. The atmosphere here is so kind, supportive, respectful.it's created an environment that I'm eager to get to 5//6 days each week. The staff are sweet and helpful. The equipment could be cleaned and maintained better, but nothing hideous.

Nick is the best employee in LA Fitness! Give that man a raise/promotion! The cable machines need more handles and attachments. Most of the time they are missing and nowhere to be found.

Absolutely fell in love with this gym solely off the experience I had with its front desk staff, tried it out on the weekend and was helped by Kai and her other coworkers. Kai’s welcoming presence and ability to answer questions on the fly made my experience at the gym so much better. Now when I come in, her greetings are what help me get through my workouts. Love LA Fitness 10/10 recommend.

Great guy always smiling, knows how to deal with clients and very patient with patient when it comes to help someone so he becomes more and more on he's job title and thank you for your service sir

Spoke to Nick today to get my son his own membership. He’s been under my husband but now 17 & driving needed his own membership. They both really like this gym. Membership can be confusing with options, fees & charges. Nick made it clear & easy & we completed the process in only a few minutes. Thank you Nick!

The gym is very clean. There is enough equipment available. I work with a trainer and he is awesome! I have had a great experience here this far.

Love this gym super clean had everything i was looking for and Nick was amazing extremely helpful with helping me get started on my fitness journey

The staff does an excellent job of keeping the gym clean especially the women’s locker room. The fact that people sit at machines texting is not the fault of the gym, it’s like that everywhere. The pool has a variety of attendants such as the excellent, Eddie, who is a certified life guard and instructor. Others are bored teenagers who seem to be constantly on their phones. Another attendant is often loudly proclaiming his political opinions. Weird. In general, I recommend this gym.
