La Hacienda Ristorante and Pizzeria reviews
15 My family is from Ontario and we’ve been going to La Hacienda for forever - my parents and extended family since before I was born.
Honestly- I’ve never had anything but the pizza and wings - it’s so good we crave them and drive to the states just to have them. Local gem with lots of character and their pizza and wings can’t be beat!
Ive been eating at this pizzeria since the late 60"s and dont try to tell me the new owners didnt change the pepperoni because its a lie! It doesnt look or taste the same. After squabbling for decades with Aldo over his over inflated rate exchange with Canadian money, I would have expected more options to pay with the new owners. Instead, a further slap in the face with loyal Canadian customers by eliminating all Canadian currency permanently as if to say "see you later, it was nice knowing you"
I hope it comes back to bite you in the butt!
Porterhouse steak was very good, according to my son and daughter. Fried haddock was a very generous portion.
I tried Trippa (tripe) had a weird after taste. Wasn't like mine. I add onions and hominy.
It was close to closing, so felt a little rushed.
Said homemade bread with all appetizers.no bread was served
There was 7 of us and the menu said 18 % gratuity added for parties of 8 or more. They added a 22% gratuity.
The best pizza in Niagara Falls. The salads are delicious too. They are always ready when I order takeout and the staff is so nice.
My family has been going since I was born. 1971. My dad has been going since 1969. Was there on Sunday with my parents and I gotta say.this pizza is getting better! We had pizza, wings, cherry peppers, a few meatballs and tomato lettuce salad with cheese. All the food was delicious and the service was on point. But.the tomato lettuce salad with cheese.how can something so simple be so tasty! Keep up the good work staff and the owners!
Sorry but today pizza very disappointing. Must be saving on flour. There's hardly any pizza per say. And with them being dead, they couldn't even take the time to slice properly
Great pizza and service. It is quintessential Niagara Falls. The interior decor will take you back to a old restaurant and decorum of the 1970s.
This is hands down the best pizza in Western New York. If I got to choose my last meal this would be it. Worth the trip to the falls. Do not skip the tomato, lettuce, and cheese salad!
It was incredible food, great service. The price was reasonable. But the decor was so outdated and cash only is a bit passe.
Very, very disappointed. Used to go years ago and it was great. Wings were excellent, but both pizzas were terrible.soggy. Also they only take cash? It's 2023 folks. Oh, and the waitress wouldn't split the bill with 4 couples? Seriously, we had to sit there and do the math based on the menu, because we couldn't read the bill. So much for nostalgia.should have went to Gagsters!

And to respond to your point about the tip. If we didn't have to spend 20 minutes figuring out our bills because for some reason you can't do seperate bills for 4 seperate families, it would have been much higher. If we have to do your work why would we give a great tip? Tips are earned, not mandatory. All she had to do was create 4 bills, just as you would have had we sat at different tables.
I coached teams for years and restaurants could divide up 16 different players families sitting all over the place but you couldn't do 4 bills for 4 families that were sitting with their families. Your logic is lacking here. As for the cash.it's 2023! If I paid by credit card and seperate bills her top would have been so much higher. Let's blame your business practices on her tip. Not the patrons.
As for Gasters.the only reason we stopped by your place was because they were closed. They are always awesome!
And your responce is just another reason for people not to go to your establishment.
Best pizza ever but what I like most is their beans and greens soup. A must try. It’s filled with flavour and deliciousness.
I have been eating their pizza since the 1970’s. It’s been my all time favorite since. I have to ask, what happened to to the pizza sauce over the last month? When you open the pizza box it smells like spaghettio’s are they using chef boy’ardi sauce now? I’m a little disappointed. I hope it’s just a bad batch of sauce. I’ll try it again soon. Hopefully it changes. The rest of the taste is good. The sauce needs to improve.
Rarely do I leave reviews. I’ve been eating pizza from La Hacienda since I’ve had teeth. Going to the USA from Canada is a monthly trip and well worth it, for 50 years. I refuse to eat the disgusting assembly line pizza that most places make now. Canadian pizza is generally inedible. I did not eat pizza while the border was closed for covid.
La Hacienda had during previous ownership the best pizza I have had anywhere in the world. The pizza has not changed at all with new ownership. Thank you for leaving the recipes intact. The only difference I can see, is I now ask for it well done. It tastes exactly the same as it has for 50 years. I dream about the pizza. I can taste it in my mouth right now. There is no better. All the Italian food is equally as good. Again thank you to ownership for not messing with perfection.
To the person who justified stiffing a waitress because he didn’t like it was all on one bill. To you sir, I’m embarrassed you are Canadian. I’ve had impeccable service every time.
Again thank you for all the amazing food and service.
Service excellent, food great had nothing left to bring home. Can't wait to come back.
The pizza and the lasagna was great as well as the Calamari appetizer. One bad thing was we didn't know it was cash only till we were ready to pay. No sign on the doors or entranceway just a small sign by the register. Luckily we had enough cash to pay the bill.
