La Pupusa Loca reviews
10 Terrible food, very annoyed! I understand that we may have come when they were just about to close, unfortunately I wasn’t aware of that before arriving. However, I would rather they say the kitchen is closed than to sell food that is as bad as what we bought last night. The beans smelled and tasted burnt, the chicken had absolutely NO flavor and was smothered in greasy liquid, yet the lady still managed to make it super dry and tasteless. It was as if it were made of a very bulky cheap quality chicken breast.
The pupusas were ok, but the sauce should embarrass them to sell that stuff. That was literally tomato sauce from a can, it was so disgusting, and the coleslaw topping had no flavor, whoever cooked this food needs to leave the restaurant business. Pupusas is a Salvadoran signature dish/appetizer and they could not even make that dish right.
The worst part is that I spent sooo much money on meals for 3 people and basically threw it all away. Not edible at all! If this is an example of the meals they offer, I don’t know how this place can stay in business.
Definitely NEVER going back.save your money and aggravation and G. I.to another place.
Me and my family have been coming to this place for years. The pupusas and horchata are awsome. I've had other items of the menu and they were good as well. I believe there is a lunch buffet I haven't tried it but will try it soon. Updat 2020 The chicharon and Yuca frita-amazing!
Ordered a fish soup, came with lots of bones no vegetables nothing I’ve ever experienced in a Salvadoran restaurant.
The food is pretty good the only bad thing is the waiting time for the food. If you order a simple breakfast will take about an hour to come to your table. It's ok if you have no hurry.
Good service, but watched a roach crawl across the table in the middle of the day. My wife was closer and killed it. If you see a roach in the daytime, that means there is a SERIOUS problem.my family and I won't return here.
Love this place…food is always very good and reasonably priced. Never had any issues at all. Staff is also very nice
The chicken pupusas, mixed pupusas, pasteles de masa de pollo, and refrescos maranon were delicious. I will definitely come back!
The Pupusas were delicious we had the pork and the chicken A+ the Hortacha drink was delicious true definitely would recommend A+
Never coming here again. Go to the Yonkers location much faster service and pleasant experience. Wanted to give this place a try. Why did it take a whole HOUR to get 5 pupusas and a side of rice and beans. Ridiculous and rude service.
My go to Popusa spot.don't know what it is? Then you're missing out. It's light on the pocket, it's filling and best of all its tasty.
