La Rosa Chicken & Grill - Guyon Avenue, Staten Island NY

I was a loyal customer when the Guyon Avenue location first opened. The food was amazing and the staff (minus ome curmudgeon old man) was great.

Over time the location quickly fell off. The food became awful and the menu changes were ill advised. The people answering the phone can only be described as idiotic. On a few occasions people in the room with me stared in disbelief at the difficulty while I tried to phone in my order. Sure I could try using the app but the stupidity of the people answering the phone is indicative of how poorly prepared the food is. I hate to be sexist but men can’t take orders over the phone to save their lives.

It’s sad to see how bad this place has gotten. The staff has done a horrible job in maintaining any kind of quality. Avoid this location at all costs. I can’t personally speak for the other franchises but this one clearly has a disconnect on what’s to be expected from the brand. F -

I absolutely love it a clean restaurant sit in is amazing service I went in yesterday there was an amazing boy and girl who seemed to have a bond we were looking to try something new cause we always get the roasted chicken and they gave us pointers and got there favorites and I have to say definitely 10/10 absolutely amazing and they definitely clean up after that old staff that was pervious

La Rosa Chicken has alot going for it. I order it when I get that fried chicken craving, and it never disappoints. Ive also ordered their fish sandwich/filet and it is surprisingly good. Also worth noting are their sides. Delicious mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, and vegetable offerings are all seasoned well and go great with their brand of chicken.
I order via delivery, so can't testify to what the instore experience is like. Have to order through Yelp due to the store being too far from my place, so the long wait for delivery is understandable and as far as I know, has no reflection upon the establishment itself. If you're in the same boat, expect Yelp deliveries to take at least an hour, usually more.

Their roast chicken has no flavor similar to the ones in Costco, Fried chicken were warm, salty, microwaved like similar to stop&shops, plus the sides are given in tiny portions, and it was overpriced. Just go to Popeyes.

AMAZING Hands down BEST “La Rosa” on Staten Island. I get their fried spicy chicken sandwich and it is 1,000,000,000 better then Popeyes. Fresh ingredients, chicken is always freshly cooked and their service is so friendly. My son will not allow me to order anything else while I’m the area. The restaurant is so clean and organized and the service is very fast and polite.

This is my first time ordering from La Rosa and I am not so pleased with my order. I placed an order for delivery the one whole chicken family meal 2 large sides and 3 corn muffins for $32.66 after taxes plus the tip for the driver. My order was delivered but my expectation was not met to a degree. I looked in the bag and saw 2 small 16oz containers with my sides inside of them I have a family of 3 to feed these small containers only fed 2 people and I had to cook up sides for my 3rd family member. I called up La rosa and spoke to the same guy who took my order that I recieved two small containers and not 2 large sides as stated in their menu he says to me that's what they give they give 16 ounce containers for sides and kept saying that their large containers that can feed a family of 3 and said that he gave me 4 corn muffins as if he was trying to justify this matter and that everything is ok because he gave me one extra muffin smh. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied because I did not recieve 2 Large sides as stated on their menu I was deceived and instead recieved 2 small sides that wasnt able to feed all 3 of us and disappointed with the customer service as well (guy over the phone) I hope that in the very near future La rosa invests in Large containers for customers who order Large sides.
