My friend and I came to La Sirène and overall had a good experience. I would say the only thing is this restaurant's deals were amazing and the food is awesome. I was blown away by its taste; the chicken and pasta were good, but the ricotta truffle toast was delicious. The desserts were too good.

What a great evening celebrating Mother’s Day. First, I have to thank the staff for their flexibility. We had a reservation but got delayed coming into the city; an accident on approaching the Holland Tunnel delayed us 2 hours, and as I kept calling the restaurant to apologize for our delay, they told me to come in anyway and they would accommodate us. The food was simply OUTSTANDING and everyone loved both their appetizers and their entrees.

Came here for dinner with a friend. I had really high expectations reading other reviews but the food just didn’t hit. Staff was super nice and friendly so no faults there. Everything except for the mussels was in need of more salt. The Escargot was cooked to perfection, tender, and so herbaceous, but where was the salt. Same review for the calamari. Probably the most tender, well cooked calamari I’ve ever had like 100%. But lacking salt! That would have made everything so much better. I might try again to see if the entrees are better because we had such a good time and the ambience was great.

With the intention to eat rabbit for the first time ever, this place delivered. I recommend their braised rabbit entreé. So delicious. Will be returning again.

Went here for an anniversary with my partner and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, and the food was incredible. We had the escargot and goat cheese tart to start, and both were great, but the goat cheese tart was a standout. My partner ordered the rack of lamb, and I had Tournedos Rossini, and both were outstanding. Very flavorful and rich. We had the banana brûlée and Iles Flottantes for dessert and both of those were great as well, but the illes flottantes stood out. I 100% would come back.

Came for the fois, which was exceptional. However, I’ll return for Lina’s incredible service coupled with excellent production from the kitchen.

I had the seared fois gras, duck breast, Gamay, and crunchy-profiterole-like dessert.

Can’t wait to return to try the baked pear with melted bleu and the chèvre tarte.

The atmosphere is so comfortable and cozy. The waiter and the waitress are very nice and friendly. The waiter informed us before sitting us that the restaurant only take American Express as the only credit card that they accept, and other form of payment, later on, I read the menu and it explained the reason. It is very important to tell customers ahead of time.

We ordered the Roasted Escargots and Cold served Foie Gras Torchon style as appetizers. The Escargots were so good, and not overcooked. Also, the Foie Gras was from the Hudson valley farm that the standpoint of PETA (People for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals).
For the entrées we ordered Seafood linguini, which come with mussels, scallop, shrimps, calamari and fish, wish it comes with more linguini, because it taste so good. Also, ordered hanger steak in medium rare, the hanger steak is so flavorful, not chewy and not over cooked at all, the roasted garlic is just right, not bitter at all.
For the dessert, we have banana pudding, with nila cookies crumbs at the bottom and top with pieces of banana and custard, top with the sugar torched just like crème brulée. Also, ordered the Whipped Egg whites Meringue in Crème Anglaise, the hot caramel is so crunchy in the sauce. Overall not too sweet at all.

I will definitely come again and try other dishes.

Excellent French food! Everything was delicious. The French onion soup is definitely better than many places, and the hanger steak is superb! If you order the foie gras, get the seared version. Definitely will be back to try more dishes, especially the desserts.

Came for Valentine’s Day and had a pre fixe menu with duck, escargot, oysters and dessert. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant, hands down. Not to mention how incredibly fabulous the staff was. So helpful and nice.

Wonderful little spot for authentic French food. A literal hole in the wall, impeccably tended to by a charming staff. The (Caribbean) mussels, seared Foie Gras, cassoulet and seafood pasta were all delicious. Portion sizes are generous, so be prepared to share. Will certainly be back.

Amazing food, nice wine selection, great ambience and staff. Wonderful local spot with fantastic French food. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back.

My date and I recently had the extreme pleasure of dining at La Sirène, one of the true gems of French bistro-style cuisine in the area. This is truly an intimate, flavor-forward spot, tastefully decorated, and with friendly, casual service; they truly made our night memorable.

Here I enjoyed what may have been the single best steak I have ever had - their Tournedos Rossini, a perfectly-cooked filet mignon topped with foie gras, is unfathomably delectable, and worth the visit all on its own. Their escargot, served in-shell rather than a cheesy bistro dish, was simply phenomenal.

Many thanks to the Sirène team for a fantastic experience; I'll certainly be back, and will encourage others to visit as well.

My favorite French restaurant in the city, including their upper west side location. The escargot is the best I’ve ever had, and their steak tartar is my favorite out of everywhere I’ve been. Consistent high quality every time I go.

I have had similar entrees elsewhere which were not only cheaper but also much more flavorful

My husband took me here for my birthday and I loved it. We had mussels and escargots for appetizers. They were fresh and delicious. Although the escargot dish was a bit buttery for my taste, it was still really good with their service bread. My entree is duck with cranberry sauce and it’s one of the best duck dish I’ve had in the city so far. I would love to go here again.

Phenomenal foie gras and escargot, for mains I would skip the pasta and order steak instead. Def try out the dessert menu. Only accepts Amex for credit cards!

I had dinner here at Christmas Eve, I wasn’t sure if they raised the price that day because it was Christmas Eve or the price was just the same everyday. I saw there was the menu with lower price under the one that was on the top.
The overall experience was kinda disappointing, my boyfriend and I ordered a Tournedos Rossini and Magret de Canard, and we don’t like the taste for both dishes, and we think they are way too overpriced!

Everything from appetizer to the main course was "swimming" in sauses. Food at best was mediocre. If I would have a chance to give "0" I would. However, waiter was attentive and did remove some items from the bill, hence 1 star. There are much better places in NY. Search and enjoy.
