I had one of the most horrible medical experiences of my life today at this site.

I just want to echo the sentiment other folks have said on here about the staff being really disrespectful.

This experience is embarrassing but it needs to be shared.

I came in this afternoon for a urine drug test for a new job I just got this week. I had never done a drug test before, or been to this location but I went because it was closest to my house.

I noticed the staff was grouchy immediately but not anything abnormal for NYC folks.

However, what transpired during my short time there went far beyond NYC grouchy ness and ended up being truly violating, one of the worst experiences of my life.

Long story short, I had to urinate into a lidless cup and then travel the urine through a short hall, in full view of the entire lobby, into a room with the door permanently open.

And I am on my period. Before I did it, I asked the woman taking care of me if I had to walk this path and she rudely insisted yes, and rushed me in.

When I came out with my sample, EVERYONE was looking at me. Not only that, there were rogue male patients lingering in the short hall that I had to dodge to get back to the room. This was humiliating.

Worse, I arrived to the room and the woman started yelling at me about “Why is it red? ” Like I was in trouble for being on my period.

I asked her to please shut the door as she was devastatingly humiliating me. She refused and proceeded to lecture and talk down to me about this.

I was shaking, horrified that another young woman, who I assume menstruates, would do this to me! Sure, I didn’t know you shouldn’t submit a period - urine sample but the way she handled it was appalling.

She expected me to come back later today or Monday and I told her no, this location COMPLETELY lacks discretion. Whenever I determine I can successfully do my test, it will not be at this location.

Once I left the location, I was sobbing. That was absolutely abhorrent and violating.

Whomever that woman was taking care of me today should not have a license to practice. She is a danger to patients. And further, this location needs a better system for discretion and flow inside the tiny space.

Came for a TLC drug test for an appointment, they had no records of me, told me to call TLC office, and refused to do a drug test. Pick some other location, avoid this office.

I have never seen a clinic with worse service than this one. I went to get a blood draw and kept speaking Cantonese to me. I said I can’t speak (but can understand) Cantonese. There was a short, fat female nurse, a bit old, can’t speak Cantonese, why are you here? I was so embarrassed throughout the whole process, can the doctor have some medical ethics, although he is not even a doctor.

They are blind they can’t write even names just their mistake somebody write wrong license no it took me 30 day to fix

They really need to replace the staff. The attitude is so bad, like extremely bad for no reason. Don’t come if u have other options

I don’t understand all these negative comments about the Asian lady, she’s always been kind to me. The first time I went, I didn’t fill the cup enough and she let me wait and do it again.no complaints

Lab techs were great with my one year old. We've never gotten her blood drawn anywhere else (except when she was born at the hospital), so I really can't compare, but the two women who worked with her were patient and kind. Blood draw was very quick, wait time was very quick. Will gladly return here for pediatric blood draws. Thank you for making this experience as smooth as possible for a scared little girl!

It’s my very, very bad experience in my life, the old lady downstairs treated me like animals, I don’t know understand how Corp lab, have people like that, I am reading the reviews for other customers and it’s the same bad experience omg

This is the WORST and most embarrassing experience I’ve ever had in a lab. Listen if you are not having a good day, stay home don’t take it on other people. Long story short, I was in for a drug test and I was bit nervous so it took me a bit longer than the 4 min to pee. To my shocking surprise I come out the bathroom to find the nurse yelling at my mom saying I had failed because of the time and then started yelling in Chinese. I was in disbelief of the whole situation because why was she being rude and yelling at my mom in front of all the people in the waiting area? Like I get it the lab needs to adhere to certain rules but there are plenty of ways to go about this and no reason what so ever for her to be yelling at my mom or me. There is no need to treat people with such demeanor. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Worst LabCorp ever I have seen in NYC. There is a Asian lady her name is Menli she was so rude she told me to just press next when I was self checking in and she told me go that way and she started to help another Asian people so nicely

The lady at the front desk downstairs is in menopause, which smelly face is scary, her attitude is really bad, menopausal women are really scary

The old lady downstairs is so rude.she doesn't speak English and screaming on me coz I didn't understand what she was saying

Especially the short-haired receptionist, who doesn’t want to help, doesn’t want to help, and the other patients are even ignored. I just want to ask, is this kind of person invited to blow the air conditioner? ?
You must report to the government agency! ! Disrespecting people not only can't help people, but also tell patients not to "mess around" here. Is this your professional ethics? ? ! ! A person who doesn't even have self-cultivation is still a nurse at the front desk!? If you dislike the low wages of front desk nurses, go home! Don't show me any face! And don't give me any official reply, please rectify the personnel immediately! ! Hope to have the contact information of your leader or manager! ! Thanks
