I recently discover this place while walking my dog. The place is cute and the desserts are beautiful. I didn’t try the Asian pastries yet, I just had a tiramisu and this is my second time. It’s really delicious. I like the presentation and the taste. I really like this place. I thought for my second tiramisu that it needed more ladyfingers but it didn’t bother me too much. I’ll come again

Phenomenal pastries and such a nice customer experience- went at the end of day and the guy threw in extra. So sweet, definitely coming back!

Phenomenal little dessert shop! All of the desserts looked so delicate and delectable! They were also not too sweet so the natural flavours really stood out:)

1. Serimuka Pandan (Steamed Pandan Custard Cake) $2.85
So, so dreamy. The sticky rice colors are beautiful, they’re like crystals. Not too sure if the bluer parts are salty egg yolk bits but I was pleasantly surprised by the sprinkles of savouriness. The sticky rice on the bottom complemented well with the lighter, smooth pandan egg custard on top. The panda was almost pistachio-like, and a little herby. Just a beautiful combination of elements.

2. Baked Ube Nian Gao (紫薯烤年糕) $4.75
The ube flavor was strong (in a natural, non artificial way) and actually tasted a little earthy. The cake 吃起来真的很糯! Was in mochi heaven. The baked crispy shell contrasted so nicely with the sticky, stretchy baked sticky rice portion. Just in love with the textures and flavor.

The shop itself is quite small (no indoor seating) but the variety of desserts there are phenomenal. In love with the fusion of Southeast Asian deserts (Singapore, Malasian, Chinese.) with western culture (mango sticky tarts and matcha panda tart). Can definitely tell that the owners are experienced and worked at Michelin-star restaurants.

Seriously hands down the best kuih in NYC. Anything pandan is fantastic (serimuka, fusion cake, croissant, chiffon cake).

OMG these pastries are to die for! So different from the typical American or Italian ones. My favorite are the ones with East Asian flavors like mango or coconut.
Don’t forget to try the Indonesian Chili tempeh chips too - delish!

Ig: thebakingredient

Revisit: YES for pandan cakes
Highlight: 5/5 DELICIOUS pandan cakes and durian popsicle (even I’m not a super durian fan; it tests great)! I’ll definitely love to have them again. If you are looking for gluten-free dessert, give the pandan cakes a try
Friendliness: 5/5 staff are super friendly and patient.
: $3 (pandan cake) - $8 (cake slice)
Cons: All the other desserts are little too sweet.

Lovely dessert shop! Some of the treats remained me of being in Malaysia or Vietnam. Want to leave a review to note there are a few vegan options for those that are plant-based and they are notated on the display cards. The woman working was kind and welcoming. Happy to enjoy the pandan layer cake in their outdoor seating. My nieces were excited for the rainbow cake because they studied the menu before and enjoyed it. I will definitely be returning!

Dessert focused spot with creative flavors from Southeast Asia. There is no indoor seating and only about 3 bench stools outside so be aware you will probably be taking the items to go. Our favorites were the Calamansi passionfruit cake and one of the rice pandan sweets. The greens tea tiramisu is so creative but was too sweet due to the use of palm sugar to moisten the ladyfingers. I almost wish they had tamped down the use of sugar or maybe even mixed it with some more green tea to reduce the sweetness and amp up the green tea flavor. All in all a good dessert spot with less than common flavors.

Mmmmmm. Great place for desserts. I love everything here. The only thing that is a little bad is it does not have that much seating - 1 table 3 chairs. The service here is a little slow because customers have a hard time deciding on what to get. The desserts are really sweet and I came 2 days in a row because it is so good. Many people seem to like the lychee soda. I find it very good too. I recommend coming here.

The baker/manager onsite really knew about culinary and specifically refined sugar! He specified which kuihs (only two) my husband could eat as he's got severe reactions to refined sugar (e.g. Cane sugar). Those two kuihs they stick to the south east Asian tradition of palm sugar which is unrefined and healthier. Wish they can make the cakes and more things with just palm sugar too! Please consider it!
I had the Uber taro (light ube taste) and the pandan custard like cake which were decent just a bit too sweet for me.

I went here for the first time this afternoon and am so glad I did! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the different pastries. Got an assortment of the traditional pandan pastries and they’re delicious. Looking forward to my next trip.

I've been dreaming of going to this place for months and now that I've gone and sampled their kuihs, I'm pleased to report it lives up to the hype! I definitely will be back because there are so many things I still want to try.

They were closed but still accepted us in and the lychee soda was sooooooo BOMBBBB. We sat outside to rest and they even bring us some free pastries to try out and it was also good! Sweet service and sweet people!
