Great place with very large and clean rooms. I love very firm pillows so I can't complain like others have, but if it's not your taste I see how it can affect your experience. The only "negative" for me was that I arrived at 230 and I was told I had to wait till 3 to check in even though I saw others ahead of me checking in without issue, but not a big deal

Save yourself the aggravation. We had a horrible experience from day one at this hotel. Starting with the check-in process. The front desk employee who checked us in gave us the wrong room number. We were not able to get in the room as the key was not working. I went back down to the front desk to confirm the room number because it sounded like someone was already in the room. She assured me twice that I had the right room number and advised me to be careful with my key card around my phone and credit cards as it was sensitive. I went back up and entered the room with a new key card that she issued. To my surprise there was a guest in the room. I apologized and went back down to speak with the front desk. I asked to speak with a manager and had the unfortunate chance to speak with Matthew who was the manager. He was of no help and proceeded to tell me to lower my voice three times instead of offering an apology or any kind of reassurance that this was not something that normally happens. He actually stated it happens often as it’s an error that can occur at anytime. He also said the guest that was in the room was in the National Guard and most likely did not mind me walking into her room. I would have preferred him taking some accountability and reassurance that he would ensure the guest I just walked in on was okay and that my room would not be walked into by another guest. If roles were reversed I’m sure he would have had a different opinion. I did have the pleasure of speaking with the day shift manager Vanessa who was very pleasant and assisted me. The first room we were issued was dated. The toilet was leaking and the TV was not functional. The second room was a little better but we were so annoyed with our first day that nothing could have made it better. Many of the amenities were out of order and several other guests were complaining any time I passed the lobby during my stay. Do not stay here if you have other options.

Loved staying at LaGuardia Plaza Hotel before/after my international trip. Great amenities, love the shuttle to LGA, and fairly easy to get around the city for sightseeing.

We got in pretty late for both of our stays, reserved our room the day of, and it all went off without a hitch. Great customer service. Loved the pool/hot tub/sauna as a way to wind down after 2 weeks of traveling. The pillows were my fav - giant and firm, and we got 4 per bed!

Would gladly stay with this hotel again. Thanks!

Great location, literally almost walking distance to LaGuardia. Nice hotel bar with friendly service and good food options, even later at night.

Had an unexpected stay here Friday night due to a flight cancellation. The thermostat was stuck at 78 and would not cool down. The TV also did not work. I called the front desk about these issues and was told a maintenance person would come take a look. No one ever came and it was late in the evening so I just went to sleep. For the price you pay, the service could be better.

I will tell you a story about two hotels, though this is only the first part. Quick background: I am in NYC for two meetings. I drove from Illinois because I also have a meeting in Boston. My first meeting is at the Marriott, and I arrived early. I'll write about my dismal experience with the LaGuardia Marriott later. As it relates to the Element Retaurant at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel, I can't say enough good things.

After coming in from the rain, I spoke to DJ. Though busy, he immediately understood the urgency of my request and quickly found a place to seat me in view of a television to watch the Michigan-Iowa game (Go Blue). He was awesome.

But Cindy Alexandre, she really blew me away. The pinnacle of hospitality is understanding a customer so well that you anticipate and feel their needs. When Cindy saw me straining to hear the TV, she turned up the volume. When she saw what I was ordering, she suggested a side option that was really helpful. It also helps that the food is fresh and delicious.

This place crushed the Marriott's restaurant. Outstanding stuff.

Room smells like smoke. Shower didn’t drain. Front desk staff’s attitude was subpar and not very accommodating. AC was loud. Body soap and Shampoo were the same which begs the question of whether or not they were just knockoff refill and not the original stuff. Small bottle of body lotion was used already. Worse part is I woke up all itchy in my hands and legs (bed bugs?) Do yourself a favor and find a more reputable place to stay. This ain’t the Plaza in Manhattan that’s for sure!
Oh and if you need a water in the middle of the night just be ready to cough up $8.

No coffee station for residents. You have to walk to next door hotel to get coffee. Restaurant manager so rude and doesn't allow you even cup of coffee unless you pay again. Big hotel but cheap quality.

Perfect location if you're flying in and out of LaGuardia Airport. Rooms are clean, service is good. Even though the airport is right across the street you can't hear any planes when in the room or hear the rooms next to you which is a major plus. The hotel manager Effie is very nice and accommodating!

This hotel is an oasis amongst the craziness of NYC. Justice is an amazing gentleman and very knowledgeable. The food is delicious and reasonable considering its NYC and the rooms are spacious and clean. I loved this place, and God willing, I'll be back soon, real soon. God bless one and all

Came here with my family the hotel is beautiful but disappointed with the service. I had to go and buy bathroom soap because we didn't have any in the bathroom then the bathroom door didn't close then I went to get ice in the 6 th floor and machine wasn't working I called twice for room service which took forever. For the price we paid we shouldn't of gone thru this. So I went and spoke to the lady behind the desk she was African American with the long eye lashes I asked her after all this would they give us complimentary BF she said No. I was just in shock what kind of customer service does this lady have. Very very disappointed. Ms Diaz

Nice place. They are doing renovation work. Once complete with new amenities, it will definitely be the place to stay for a few days.

The room price versus quality is not good - too expensive for what you get. The bed was comfortable and thats all I can say.
The waitress at the hotel restaurant was great - she improved the overall experience. Front desk staff were mediocre. Location is great. The 350usd room did not include breakfast thus we did not pay 23 usd additional (per person) to have it. Fitness room is standard - clean enough but elliptical trainer screen was broken. Fitness Machinery needs to be upgraded or fixed.

Nothing to complain about here other than the small and lumpy pillows. Otherwise I had a good stay with excellent service.

Good location if you are traveling through Laguardia, but the rooms are just so so. The van service to the airport is very convenient

They gave me a room on the second floor and the AC was not working. Had to bring my family back downstairs with our luggage and ask for another room. Do you think we got an apology? Nope! The staff at the front desk was not polite at all. The smell of clorine form the pool was terrible on the second floor. The entire hotel has a very weird smell. So, to sum it up, after paying 300 for a night at this place, I could have purchased the same experience for 90 bucks at a Super 8 Motel.

I’ve stayed in this hotel because my flight was canceled but I have to say that this hotel was above my expectations. It’s clean, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is really good.
