Lake Effect, Buffalo NY

We drive around visiting restaurants featured on "Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. The atmosphere was great, the food we sampled was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Food was excellent, quick and very nice service. Take out was quick too. Order pancakes to go.

Food is out standing. But I must say Surigo is really missed, he really ran a the place well. Definitely needs improvement.

Food was really good. Space is limited so call ahead or be ok with waiting for a seat.need more staff operating and working together. OJ was BOMB.com!

Food was good although service was alright. They forgot spoons for coffee and a straw for milkshake. And one of the orders was mistaken, overall it was alright!

The food was bomb but it took over an hour and a half to get to us. As well as people who came in after us getting their food much earlier than us. But once again super good food.

Meat off putting, pancakes are nasty batter is that of what a carnival uses, no flavor potatoes, bread was the only thing that was good on the plate and service was lacking

Two waitresses working the one that sat us down didn't give us menus or tell us to download the menu on the smart phone. I had a 2 year old with me I requested a high chair a couple times I'm not sure if the waitresses have with in her job for that day but the other waitress was able to bring us one. The vibe and the restaurant is absolutely awesome the food was nice and fast and hot prices little pricey pictured is the 2-year-old's Minnie mouse or Mickey mouse pancake which she absolutely loves all in all a good experience the waitress has a better day next time. We're human we're going through a pandemic everybody has bad days or off days so no points for that taken off my sweet son left her an extra tip hopefully that helped spice up her day.

Okay! The fact that they don't take takeout orders over phone is cool however then to charge a conveniences fee for ordering online is not okay! The portions were decent, I loved the home fries, the steak was good however a little over cooked to be medium well! Pancake were a little on the tough side my steak was softer and the steak was on the thick side!

Had to wait almost 45 min to be seated, had to wait over an hour to get the food, also ridiculous prices. 1 singular pancake is 5 $ this food isn't worth the price, been waiting over 20 minutes for a refill on our water. Overall probably wouldn't come back here after this.

1st time here & it was great! Our server mark was absolutely fantastic.super friendly great personality made our experience that much better, plus the food was sooo good great portions for the price. I would suggest if ur looking for somewhere different to try

Wow as a lifelong WNY'er I can't believe this was my 1st time but will not be my last.def great food and just so happened not to be super busy this morning for bfast.

Hungry, looking for a good place to still eat a good breakfast. It wasn't good, it was great! (11 o'clock) A bit high price but service was spot on. Clean and sanitized, counter service and friendly waitress. (Brinae?)

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time and had Marc T as our server. He was so great and bubbly The food was absolutely delicious, the pancakes-to die for. The sausage? Amazing. I don’t know what seasoning they use on their sausage and home fries but it’s delicious. The SIZE OF FOOD? ! Amazing! Such a great place for it’s price. Would give more stars if it was possible. We will be going back soon!

Everything about this diner was top notch! The service was impeccable and the food comes out fresh so please do not be in a hurry, you'll be glad you waited!

Our server Mark had a invigorating personally. He was professional yet had a very good sense of humor. Always enjoy lake effect the food is so tasty.
