Food was just horrible!
Soup was served from can, and nachos with pulled pork was even more disgusting, I couldn't find on try any pork what so ever. Only Big try with burned nachos and a little bit of cheese.
I can rate a service because wasn't any service.

The Lake Placid Pub & Brewery is located right next to the Hampton Inn in Lake Placid. My husband and I checked in around 6: 30 pm, and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. His friend had recommended the Brewery to us and even gave him money to pick up some beer to bring home. We went there and was told the wait was 45 minutes. We took a quick walk and decided to go in and get his friends beer. Instead, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered our food. The bartender said she was new, but she was fantastic! We split a flight of 10 beers to try, which I think is always fun! I love sour beers, so naturally the sour was my favorite. We even tried the raspberry seltzer and it was delicious! We each ordered an appetizer. They did forget my dipping sauce for the fried pickles, but they brought me some when I noticed. My husband ordered the smaller size nachos without the cheese and with pulled pork. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Not too loud. They have corn hole out front and tables inside and out!

Bar tender with the sleeve tattoo was great polite and made a great bourbon and gingers pulled pork nachos where a hit just watch out for the lake monster!

21 June 23 at 8PM. I guess this place should be for the locals only. The lady bartender with the tattoos and her local buddy at the bar wearing the ballcap seemed amused that we sent burnt Nachoos back to the kitchen. The had fun with their private discussions and body language over the issue. This bartender does not belong in the hospitality business.

They had made a few comments about touists "so it begins. " After hearing the complant.

The 2nd round of nachos had very poor pork. Crusty and dry.

I do not recommend this place anymore to us tourist. Let the locals try to keep it in business.

I lived in Plattsburgh and now Rochester and have spent money here over the years.

The owner has issues to address.

Amazing food and quick service! We had the mahi mahi and margarita pizza. The mahi mahi was cooked perfectly and came with some of the most delicious noodles we’ve had.

Two stars for the service, but the food and the beer were sad. Fried pickles were way overdone and had too much breading, grilled chicken sandwich was thin and all the toppings were sliding off, cheese wasn't even melted, and the brisket was incredibly chewy and mostly fat.

My experience at Lake Placid Pub and Brewery was just okay. While the food was decent, I couldn't help but notice some shortcomings in the service.

Our waiter seemed to have forgotten a few things throughout the meal, and once our food finally arrived, it felt as though we were forgotten altogether.

The kids pizza we ordered was disappointingly chewy and without the topping we asked for, and it was only at the end of our meal that the owner approached our table and offered to replace it.

However, by that point, we were already disappointed with our overall experience and declined the offer.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't necessarily recommend Lake Placid Pub and Brewery as a family restaurant; it seemed to cater more to an older crowd.

A trip to Lake Placid is always a great getaway, and when here, a must visit is Lake Placid Pub and Brewhouse. Fresh beers made onsite all very good and great variety. But the food is what keeps me coming back. Today it was the beer braised brisket that just took the honours. Beautifully prepared and generously portioned, it’s a winner for sure. The accompanying potato salad was among the best I’ve ever had.
The burgers are famous, big and juicy. The chicken wings are huge and flavourful
Highly recommended, you can’t go wrong here. Been several times and will be back whenever passing through.

Real beer drinkers paradise

The star added is only because the servers were nice. Overall the downstairs area is super dark and not very pleasant. The beer was sub par (really not good). Really I must say the worst part was the food. The beer cheese and pretzel bites were repulsive. The beer cheese was worse than velveeta and was room temperature. The mild wings were cooked well but had no flavor and no sauce. The shining star, however, was the blue cheese dipping sauce for the wings. Oddly enough, that was stellar and worth its own mention, but that could be because everything else was awful. 2 beers, 2 apps and it was $48.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience tonight. Sat upstairs at the bar and Erin was beyond amazing! Her customer service was the best ever. The food was delicious and affordable. Definitely will be back and will highly recommend

Awful customer service, by ASSistant manager Joe. Rude and obnoxious from the start, a party of 11 kids and 11 adults. The kids were served, the adults were treated rudely by a power hungry manager. We were asked to leave instead of told in a nice way that 11 is not a comfortable number to accommodate.

Only giving this 2 stars because of the play area upstairs- which we weren’t told about until 20 minutes into our wait in the bar area with two little kids. The bartender on the second floor was very friendly, as were a couple servers passing by. The hostess stand is an absolute MESS. We were quoted different times by different people- 30 minutes once and 45 a second time. They put in their computer that they told us 1.5 hour wait. After a 40 minute wait (38 to be exact) my sister went downstairs to see how much time was left on our wait. She came back up telling me the lady was really rude and told me to give it a try. I went down to see how much time was left. Nope. The hostess couldn’t tell us. Instead she had her hands up making gestures at me while she was talking with the biggest attitude I’ve ever seen. I’m a hostess and would absolutely NEVER speak like that at the front door. I’ve never seen restaurant personnel speak like that in my entire life. The older woman with dark hair absolutely needs to go- there is zero warm welcome at the front door and she’s confused about her quoted wait times and table availability.

Loved it so much, we ate there twice in one day!

First, we stopped by to try it out for a quick lunch! We mainly had apps but all was delicious and the staff was super friendly! Loved the college pennants and the various TVs with s sports on! Such a cozy, friendly feel to go with a yummy meal!

Family (that was not with us for lunch) suggested if we go to LP Pub for dinner and we jumped right on it! There was a bit of a wait but we kept busy with drinks and playing some games at bar on first floor. The kids LOVED it! Food was just as great the second time and again, staff was wonderful!

To top it all off, LP Pub is walking distance to our rental so we may just have to go back again!

What a great memory of out trip the the high peak area. My friend and I enjoyed the food, view and service. After 3 days of camping it was a great break from the outdoors. My buddy enjoyed his beer flight and loaded nachos. Our server was very friendly for sure.

Well where to start.not sure if it's the canned wine only option or the blaring music in my ear at the table but let's just say, not a fan. Simple burger and a white bean chicken chili for the wife. Medium burger was so rare I thought I actually heard it Mooing. Chili was very odd for white bean and chicken. Cornbread that it was poured over was nice and burnt. Asked for a new piece and took forever to get. Then the chili itself was so tight and somewhat dry was very hard to choke down and never really seen that type of chicken white bean before. Over all, terrible experience but it is what it is. Guess we will plan better in time because this was our only option
