Staple lunch place! Their lunch menu is reasonable priced and food is always delicious. Thai iced tea is highly recommended!

I meet with friends this place quite often! This is the best place to dine. I visit this place regularly. The meals are great, the workers are polite and the charge is reasonable. I like meeting in this place over a tasty supper.

Awesome ambience and super attentive service. The menu was crisp and delicious. Will easily recommend this place to friends. Affordable rates and generous portions. Keep up the great work.

As anyone in New York City who likes Thai food, knows that not every Thai food place is good. However, this one was just right, tasty, fresh, not too salty or too sweet. Good service too!

My dish was quite a dormant, it's called "volcano chicken. " My boyfriend liked his though, nothing spectacular but I also thought it was fine. The Curry Puff wasn't anything to crazy about. I promised someone who had heard that they were really great because they were popular to head back and tell them if they should try it and I ensured I went back to tell them not to. Also, not the place to head for a long time of eating and conversation, it felt like the waiters needed to get people in and out, more than likely to ensure they have space for other patrons and not scare prospective ones away. This is fine but just don't head here for an evening out or a date, head here to grab some food.or not. The service was just alright. I'm probably not going to eat here again, the food is not worth the price.

The place is conveniently located and can get to it using the subway. If you walk down the place, you will be treated to the best views of the Manhattan skyline. The food was good, as long as you don't compare with authentic Thai food, but still pretty scrumptious. If you are a group of 4 of more, 18% gratuity will be added to the bill, which is not a problem if the service is even remotely close to being good. But the our server had other plans in mind, the service is poor and unfriendly. This is not the first time for us at this place and they have consistently been poor when it comes to the ordering and the overall experience. They get a three star for food, otherwise this would have been a 2 star review.

They salmon are super dry and prices on the menu and when you get your bill are two different amounts and not in a good way. Forced us to pay $17.10 for tips and services wasn't that great. Never again will I show my face.
I had the pineapple fried rice and salmon and a strawberry slushy=$120.53

Wanted to try a Thai restaurant in Brooklyn and this seemed like a safe bet. I was disappointed because I ordered a Turquoise Breeze drink expecting it to be the color turquoise but it was delivered to me as a neon green. Additionally I ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. The presentation was nice but I found egg shells in the dish and was disappointed by this execution. They have outdoor seating but there was a drip, possibly from an air conditioner, that was hitting my guest so we had to move tables.

Lantern is a consistent, simple neighborhood Thai restaurant in Brooklyn Heights.

Pros: Reasonable prices, prompt service, delivery options. Also, not many other Thai restaurants in the neighborhood (the other one has better food but has horrible NYC sanitation scores, making it a non-option). Great outdoor seating, as well.

Cons: The food here is especially bland and the menu is very mainstream.

Summary: Its a safe option in a neighborhood without many Thai options. If you're looking for a safe bet or quick delivery, this is your place. If you want a special Thai experience - you may want to look elsewhere.

Always my go to spot for Thai food. Decor is very nice without being over the top. The staff is knowledgeable and polite. The food quality is great and affordable. They have out door seating when the weather is nice.

This is my favorite Thai spot. Everything is good. There is not a dish that you wouldn't like. The pad Thai is a signature dish, spurlge and get the seafood pad Thai its work it. The pineapple fried is another good dish. The service is also immaculate.

I've come to this establishment about 4 times now. Food is ok. A bit on the pricey end. My only grip is with the customer service skills of one female waitress. Very rude and inattentive to my table. It was as if I was being subliminally told that I wasnt welcomed at this place.

Honestly I was expecting the worst out of this restaurant for only the simple fact because when I called I couldn't really understand what the lady was saying I had to listen very carefully and closely but the lady that answered the phone she was very sweet polite and nice and she explained that Thai food is not necessarily healthy at all because they deep fry stuff and they make their stuff out of seafood like fish and shrimp which I don't particularly eat I do not like seafood at all but the lady was very nice as I said and if you like seafood then this is a place for you to eat at

My hubby and I have been going here since 2007. Love the food. Service is quick and great. But the food is to die for. So delicious. Thai at it's best
