Needed laptop battery replaced after it swelled. My HP Envy is 4 years old. I took it first to Best Buy's Geek Squad. They said the motherboard is probably bent from the swelling battery and showed me where the laptop was bent. They recommended I get a new laptop for about $900. I was almost sold on that. But then I have a feeling they always push the new laptop vs.a repair or parts replacement. So I took the HP to LaptopMD. Got the replacement battery installed within one week for $200. Got a 60-day warranty. The laptop is fine and works as before. So LaptopMD saved me $700. A tip for all laptop users. Don't leave your power cord plugged in 24/7. When not in use, shut down your laptop. It will save the battery and the headache I encountered.

I've been frantically trying to find a solution to my MacBook Air. It won't charge so u can't access my documents. I'm most interested in trying to salvage the documents on the hard drive. I'm fine with buying a new laptop; laptop had some years on it.
The tech associate was very helpful, informative and friendly and said he would follow-up in 2 days. Hoping it all works out. Will update my review then.

Update: Literally in 20 hours, they call me and have been able to retrieve all the data on my device. Words can't express my joy and relief. They are so kind, helpful and informative.

I highly recommend anyone with computer issues to go to them. They're quick, affordable and great.

I highly recommend this place for all your computer repair needs. The customer service is excellent and my computer was fixed promptly. I received a very reasonable price to fix 2 computers. Service was smooth and took exactly as long as described. Didn’t mind explaining what part of the process they were at either when I made a call while waiting. Seems to be no issues with the fix in question (swollen laptop battery replacement). Overall pleased with service.

This place is great. Took less than a day for my laptop to get fixed, and the price was amazing. Best Buy would have charged half the total cost here just to look at my laptop. I also got an explanation as to what happened, and with context. Really can't recommend enough

We work in the same building as LapTopMD, so it's been a great convenience bringing them our occasional repair needs. They have successfully and efficiently replaced damaged batteries on our iPhones, MacBooks, and have rescued an iMac that the Apple Store won't touch because of expired warranty. The prices are reasonable, especially compared to the official Apple Store repair, and the turn-around is quite fast. Go LapTopMD!

I shattered my laptop screen days before a trip and laptop md was able to turn the repair around in 2 days at such a reasonable price.so quick and efficient, and communicated updates to me every step of the way.can’t recommend them highly enough!

I spilled liquid on my MacBook Air and they fixed it for $300. The price was reasonable for me and my laptop came back better than ever. I even met the person who fixed it for me and he was a cool dude. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs their computer fixed.

Update: Came back again this year (2022) to get my laptop after I spilled liquid on it again. They were able to get my laptop operating well again and even took care of the liquid problem and cleaned it. The price was $375 which was very reasonable and the people in there were great and very attentive to what my problem was and how to fix it four years later. Would still definitely recommend them to anyone with laptop trouble going forward.

I went to another location in Williamsburg to get my files retrieved from a broken hard drive. They quoted me, took my deposit, found out they couldn’t retrieve the files and tried to charge me a ridiculous amount of money to have them “try” another option. Came to Laptop MD and they retrieved the files in a short amount of time for a fraction of what the other place quoted me. Save time and money by coming the LaptopMD first.

Have used this spot multiple times over the years, always quick and quality service! Text alerts when things are ready, reasonable prices, and the location is a block away from my office, what's not to like

My sister recommended me this place, saying that they fixed up her computer during the lockdown, so I went to them to see if they could fix my network adapter. It kept deleting itself after a few hours of use on my laptop, and they fixed it! In only a day too, I thought I'd have to wait a week or something to get my computer back, but nope! Only a day and I got my computer back good as new. Would definitely recommend!

There are a lot of places in NYC that claim to do this kind of work, but these guys were fast and efficient with my Surface Pro, which had lost touch screen capability. Then it turned out the battery was shot. They had to order one part, but replaced both and had it back to me in 3 working days. Lifesaver.

Had an emergency on 12/30 where my laptop wouldn't charge because the charging port needed to be replaced inside. They ordered the part and had it ready by Jan5th (even with the holiday weekend). I just got it back and it seems to be charging, so hopefully my drama ends here. Kevin at the front was very friendly and Paul in the back is a computer fixing Rockstar. They have a 60 day warranty, so any problems that come up in the next two months, I feel comfortable going back to them for. Check them out.

Ended up more expensive than i thought because they had to replace the motherboard from water damage, but the price of the parts was nearly 300 so it was a reasonable fix for 550, quick return as well about a week

I had a great visit to laptop md. My MacBook Air had died and I needed school documents. They were open at convenient hours and managed to retrieve my data within a day. Other shops I visited took forever and charged much more.

Not my first time using them and not my last either, the positive response to my computer problem and complete reassurance that they can fix it is a big motivational factor. They are fast, it took just a couple days, and they are very patient when it comes to helping you re-install all of your apps etc. Ask for Kevin!

Called to see if they can take a look at a phone for me. Told me to head down anything. Took a ride right over. Replaced my screen in 15mins and had me on my way back home in no time. Great service, friendly staff
