Latin Star reviews
11This is not going to be a nice review, because the Latin star I remembered from the 80s 90s or maybe the early 2000s is not what it used to be. It’s a dead rotting caucus shell of what it used to be, the food is mediocre at best and the service is horrendous. I will never be going back there.
Kind of felt like I was bothering the women for actually coming in and ordering something they seem to have had a problem with the fact that I didn't speak enough Spanish to appease them and only one of the younger women helped me they overcharged me for my milkshakes and their Beans really doesn't have any flavor their meat was old and I just felt like they didn't even want me there really so maybe I won't go back for $6 milkshakes you know they charged me $22 for oxtails with rice and nothing else and treated me like it was not even worth them helping me out so Latin star has a lot of customer service issues I don't think that they like people from out of the neighborhood really sad because they could have a bigger and booming better business if they just reached out a little bit you know I myself am a personal assistant financial advisor as well as a publicist promoter for restaurants clubs bars and any type of venue I've worked at places like Mount Fuji I've worked at places like Angelo's in Pearl River I've done Bader's Goldbergs I've had places under my belt as far as you know four brothers in suffering I've worked for Cheesecake Factory in White Plains Morton's in White Plains ran bars like o'henry's in Rye New York I've held a personal venues in events for people that are attending to PNC theater going to concerts and then having a after party I just felt like a unwelcome. Thumbdown
The staff is nasty!
They over charged me for some beans and other things. I saved my receipt I went back to show them I got over charged. 2 days later I go to use the “ credit “ they left me since I got over charged. Now they saving they don’t remember over charging me. Worse experience ever. Worse spot ever. Los amigos is the way to go.
Staff are very unprofessional and unfriendly. There was a misunderstanding with my order and had to drive back to reorder again without an apology. I ended up paying $30, what a joke. The food is average and nothing new. The lady behind the counter didn’t speak any english, which was frustrating in addition to the looks they were giving me.
I ordered fresh orange juice and got some nasty juice
The beans where very sour charged me 47 dollars
Don’t waste your time they are rude as hell food dry rice undercooked if you want Latin star the one in spring valley is the best employees are sweet and helpful haverstraw Latin star is dirty and isn’t worth it
To be honest.i like the food here.i like it a lot.but no one speaks english here.my order is always getting messed up, there always passing the phone over to someone else that can’t speak english and it’s frustrating to have to keep repeating myself, explain to 2-3 people what i want to order, or driving back to the restaurant to fix my order. Hire some highschool kids that speak both.
Me and my friend have had Latin Star before but at another location. Our first time going to this location was horrible. I kept having to repeat myself. She kept switching up the order didn’t understand me. She could barely speak English. It was very frustrating. I had to pay and leave unsatisfied.
Wouldn't serve us because we didn't speak Spanish even though we tried ordering in Spanish.
Great Spanish food. Great breakfast. Great coffee. Highly recommended. Great for friends and family. Plenty of parking.
They never disappoint. The food is great. The portions are big and the price is affordable. I've been going to this location for 15 years
