If you've never had L&B you were born yesterday and need to attend this right of passage to Brooklyn Pizza.
Learn your shapes, you either order a square or a round, choose center or edges and stuff your face.
When you're done tasting pizza heaven walk your carb loaded self back to the window and order spumoni or flavored ice to finish off your heavenly pizza experience!

Now for the bad.it tends to attract less desirables due to the open outdoor seating seating. Just don't feed the local wildlife. They bite.

The square slice is up there with the best in NY. Crispy base with a super fluffy dough, complimented beautifully with the melted mozzarella cheese underneath the tangy tomato sauce. I should have got more than 1 slice.

The Squares (Sicilians) we're just as good as they were 35 years ago. Same on the Spumoni. Don't believe the "Haters" over the past decade since the Owners changed. Worse case scenario. They are Back! Been comparing this style and taste Pizza for 57 years.and in the end.it breaks down to how they compare to L & B. They don't. Sure, a very good "Margherita Pizza" is the "Other Side" to this, Pizza classification, vs of course, the "Brooklyn Style Round" with Shredded Mozzarella instead. So there are really only 3 "Types", tossing a far away 4th to "Chicago Style". Then there's all the "Commercial Garbage Pizza" that sells in Volume and Brand Names (Domino's, Papa John's, etc) for those who know now better. Poor Things.
The Upside-down L & B is by far always the One I found to compare to time and time again. Hard to beat. It's The Best. Enjoy it. Around 80+ years now. Real Talk, Real Pizza. Dave Knows Pizzas.

Fats prompt service, grabbed a whole pie, crust was great nice thin flavor was good great balance of sauce and cheese atmosphere felt great was full of people inside and out, parking was full as always but for pick up is great and fast would recommend.

The visit to L&B Spumoni was rather disappointing. Having heard great things about the food, we were quite excited to have a fulfilling dinner but it was anything but. We started off with the Sicilian slice which was the start of the evening. We then followed with the baked ziti and primavera, both of which were a disappointment. The pasta sauce for the primavera was watery and not very flavourful. The baked ziti was more cheese than pasta. We ended the evening with ice-cream which was enjoyed by my friend but not myself due to its gritty texture.

We LOVE the pizza here! It’s so delicious we love both (original and Sicilian) and their bread, salad and spumoni ice cream is absolutely amazing! The customer service here is beyond awesome! They are soooo nice and we ALWAYS come back here and when our family and friends from out of town come to visit we always make sure to bring them here, and they all say they crave it when they are home. EXCELLENT FOOD

Love the pizza here and all the food is delicious. Went for my daughter's birthday. They made a special treat for her really amazing. The steak special was definitely something to get.

Pizza, ice cream, takeout, & dine in all under one roof. They're known for their upside down squares, but I like the cooked food even better. Their sausage and peppers and chicken Franchise are my favorites. Their fried calamari is the best I can find anywhere right now.
I've been eating there since I was a kid, which is longer than I care to admit, and the food has not changed.
If you've never been there, L&B is a must go if you're anywhere within a few hours and you like good food!
Update 3/21/2023- small Spumoni is now $5.

One of the classic pizza spots in Brooklyn that is a must stop. Get yourself a square slice with a lemon ice during the Summer and thank me later.

This place is awesome and the pizza in second to none. Did I mention the amazing store made ice cream?

Portions were large, flavour was good. Service was quick, Our party of 8 showed up just before dinner rush.

This place is the real deal! Head in for a slice of old town Brooklyn. The pies are some of the best in the city and the atmosphere is lovely inside. The owner gave my friend and I some free coffees on our way out just because it was cold outside. When you’re there you’re like family (forget Olive Garden).
