Le Gigot reviews
18The duck was absolutely delicious and so was the crème brûlée. Good selection of wine and good service. The atmosphere is simple but the food makes up for it and is very well priced given quality.
Great service. We were very well taken care of by Derek and staff. Cozy and fantastic food and wine.
Consistently excellent food and drinks. Highlights: Bouillabaisse, duck confit, banana flambée. Fantastic, attentive, and unrushed service. Recommend the outside tables on a nice day. Reasonable prices.
Went for a birthday dinner. Great night out. Food was superb- rack of lamb special with potatoes that were out of this world. Crab cake to start melt in the mouth delicious. Bananas flambe instead of bday cake! Will return.
What a special place!
I made this reservation for my girlfriends who were visiting. The table we were waiting for was running behind and they kindly gave us each a free glass of wine.
The atmosphere is fantastic. Intimate and friendly. The waiters are so attentive to the little needs and were extremely thoughtful and friendly! The food is delicious. Lots of bread provided!
This is my favourite New York restaurant experience to date. I would highly recommend.
It’s been four years since we visited. Today we had lunch here and it was a wonderful meal. The service was professional and friendly. The food was divine, comforting.
We started off our meal with oysters and the crab cake. Both were incredible, they even gave us extra oysters. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list and best pairings. For our mains we ordered the beef bourguignon and bouillabaisse. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in the city, highly highly recommend. The attentiveness of waitstaff paired with restaurant’s charm, ambience and cuisine, makes for an experience worth trying.
Amazing meal here. I'm not sure what was better; the food, the ambiance, or the service. We came for lunch and didn't want to leave.
Fantastic! This tiny gem is wonderful! So cozy with super friendly service and delicious food. Best bœuf bourguignon & bouillabaisse we’ve had in the city. Will 100% be back.
My husband and I had dinner here on Friday night. It reminded us of our time in Paris. It's small, cozy and intimate space with excellent service. The food was also outstanding. We will definitely go back.
Very cute place and extremely friendly staff. Very good French food and very consistent with their small menu. Small place, so I recommend making a reservation.
The atmosphere and food was exceptional. Kind staff and a great vibe. Them bananas need Ice cream
We were a party of 8. We took up an entire section of this cute and quaint little place. They had a large selection of specials that were not on the menu that our server explained to us. We ordered wine, starters, mains and dessert with coffee. Everything was great. The escargot is amazing. I had risotto with shrimp and crab. It was rich, but exactly what I was looking for. The desserts were great too. The restaurant is small but you feel like family there. They pay careful attention to your food and experience. The neighborhood is safe and off the beaten path.
Was bloated after the risotto and the duck. Service was okay. Waiters looked like homeless men from the 90s (pretty embarrassing)
Way over priced for quality. I'm disappointed once again.
Great boeuf Bourguignon. Hard to find! Very hard. Even in nyc. But what makes it extra special is that this street is quiet and small, another rarity in NYC.not to mention the HOME of Taylor swifts penthouse she rented when first moving to nyc. She wrote a song about it called Cornelia street. Literally. Absolute gem of a spot. Phenomenal service. Eat here
Excellent french restaurant. Had the bouillabaisse and it was incredible. Staff was really friendly and professional
I can never say enough wonderful things about Le Gigot. We had our Wedding Anniversary dinner there last week and as always it was a night to remember.
I rave about this lovely restaurant often for a reason. The excellent cuisine and lovely ambience always remain the same.
My husband had the Rack of Lamb (his favorite). He said it was absolutely sumptuous. I had Coq au vin which was also delicious. For dessert we had the perfect sweet treat, Tarte Tatin.
The wine list is a wine aficionado's dream. Our fabulous server, Daniel recommended a wine that we really enjoyed. Daniel's knowledge of fine wine is as good as any Sommelier you could hope to meet.
Of course, the success of this restaurant is owed to the beautiful
owner/ host Pamela. We have all been through a lot over the past two years and thanks to her this restaurant has never veered off course. The outstanding chef and the welcoming staff (Daniel, Derrick and Andreus) will keep you coming back.
By the way, it doesn't have to be a special occasion to enjoy this lovely gem. They serve a wonderful brunch on weekends.
We highly recommend Le Gigot. We can't wait to go back.
Boyfriend and I went here for our very first post-vaccination night out. Everything was amazing: the food, the wine, the atmosphere, the service. I had the escargot appetizer and the duck confit; he had the hanger steak, and we ordered the bananas flambe for dessert. Everything was so good. This is a perfect date spot, intimate and romantic.
Oh, one more thing: it doesn't say so on the online menu, but they *do* have a small imported beer selection, for those who don't drink wine. No liquor/cocktails, though.
