Le Pain Quotidien reviews
16The food at this place is simply amazing! Every dish bursts with delicious flavors, making each bite an absolute delight. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone seeking a culinary experience that's not just good but downright yummy.
The pastries, amazing. The food okay. The favorite at the table was avocado toast with bacon and egg. Really great atmosphere and our server was kind!
We had the baked eggs with tomato and avocados along with the Dutch mini pancakes it was good along with a double shot cappuccino and early gray tea it was delicious but unfortunately our didn’t come back to ask us if we wanted anything else thanks goodness we ordered a cheese danish she was polite but would have been nice if she came back as asked if we needed anything! But I do intend on going back let’s see if I will update my review!
Could have more children’s options. Something more like pizza or other lunch or dinner options would be great.
Enjoyed the food though as it was quality
It was my first time here. For me, this is a good place for coffee, bread, and croissants. Anything other than that, just avoid. I ordered three scrambled eggs. Eggs are not real. They use powdered eggs. For the price, I would expect real eggs to be used. To make the dish even worse, the ggs were served cold. Side salad lettuce was wilted.
Love this cafe at Roosevelt Field Mall! Servers are nice and they make sure your glasses are always full of water.
Love PQ, and this location is amazing. Employees are very nice and polite and the service is great!
Four people shared mini pancakes, omelettes, avocado sandwiches, and chicken Cobb salad, and it was just the right amount.
Mini pancake chicken cobb salad is delicious!
I had an iced latte for coffee, but it felt a bit light, so I was disappointed.
The server was very friendly and we paid $28-$29 per person including tip.
I'll start by saying that I just came from a 1 week vacation in Aruba, a Dutch Island nation. I had Dutch mini pancakes almost every day for breakfast, and 10 months prior I was also in Aruba and had it every day for breakfast, so I consider myself an expert on Dutch mini pancakes.
We arrived Sunday morning between 11: 30 & 12, the place wasn't busy, maybe at most only a third of the seating was occupied.
I ordered 2 orders of the Dutch mini pancakes, an order of Mini pancakes @ Le Pain are 15 pieces for $12, it's on the very expensive side, I paid $11.50 for 28 pieces in Aruba at the Dutch Pancake House, eating in Aruba is expensive, compare those prices, you know Le Pain is a more expensive spot. My order came out at room temperature, not even warm to melt the butter (I get the sense that they pre-made it and just waiting to get served), too puffy compared to the ones I had in Aruba, it came out with syrup already on it, which I didn't see until I asked for syrup, the waiter told me that it already has it on it, I asked for extra syrup which is an extra charge. I rate my order a 1 star except for the coffee, my coffee was good, coffee would be closer to 5 stars.
Our other order was the Sunny Side Breakfast Bowl, it tasted pretty good but for $15 I thought it should have had at least 2 eggs instead of just 1,4 stars for taste, 1 star for value. The other order was Prosciutto Manchego on a French Roll, I only had a bite of it so I can't really say much about it except that it was okay.
The service was lacking, our waiter didn't even come back to check on us if we needed anything else, he only came back to take the dishes away. 1 star for service. 5 stars for ambiance.
Almost forgot to mention the Cafe Au Lait, @Le Pain it was more like cappuccino, it was good but I'm not sure if it was cafe au lait. I've had cafe au lait in New Orleans more times than I can remember and it didn't look anything like cappuccino.
Overall I like this establishment, this is a critique, I don't want this place to fail, maybe if someone who owns/runs this place reads this they can improve, room for improvement on service and value, and most of all, serving those pancakes HOT and FRESH, you can't make it and let it sit there.
I'll be back for the coffee.
Love the healthy eating at Le Pain. We stopped by for quick breakfast. It was quiet Sat around 9am. We had our teas and it was hot (we love hot teas). I had the roasted cauliflower and cheddar frittata. My son had the chicken and mozzarella melt (tartine) and we shared a chia pudding. The frittata came with field greens and some bread. The bread was not warm and slight underwhelming but the rest of the plate was good. I love their salad dressing (some kind of lemon basil base dressing). The salad was fresh (no welding leaves) and the frittata was pipping hot. I could see a couple pieces of cauliflower and taste of cheddar (quite balanced). I didn't get to try the tartine because it was gone in no time. The chia pudding was delish. It has some apple compote and that went well with the coconut based pudding.
Nice little place located at Roosevelt Field Mall. Very comfortable atmosphere. Healthy breakfast options. Recommended.
First ate at this chain in Belgium so we were excited to see they have opened up in the US. Food was good, service was as well. I wasn't a fan of the little plate or the coffee cup without a handle, a little too much form over function for me on those, but it was a good meal and I'd go back. Spent $60 for 2 adults and 1 kid before tax and tip.
Unique location in the mall and believe even through it is not in a busy area of the mall for more business, that is actually a good thing as the atmosphere is more for a moment to relax.
Cozy atmosphere and good staff. Food came out quick, but the portions are a bit small in every dish.
Nice option at Roosevelt Field for breakfast/lunch. A little messy in the dining room but thats okay as it was very busy. Dutch mini pancakes were to die for and the chicken mozzarella tartine was very good. The skillet baked eggs with bacon/scallions was just good but the dutch mini pancakes made up for it. Can’t wait to come back for those and to try some new things as well.
The place is beautiful the food is good but the size is small.you can't do lunch and breakfast at one time.
