Legacy at Parklands, Churchville NY

We picked up the chicken bbq and it was Delicious. The staff was Great and the meals were packed perfectly. Definitely ordering again

Best chicken BBQ I have ever had. Chicken was seasoned and moist (never had that from another Chix BBQ) and the potato salad was delicious. Huge meal! Great job!

Approximately a year ago my mother was looking to move from her home of over 30 years into a senior community. As you can expect, she was overly apprehensive. A year later, without a doubt, the move into Legacy Parklands Community has been a godsend. My mother has acclimated into the community and gotten to know a few good friends along the way.

In review, let me tackle the “cons” first, because they are very few and minor:
- although there are laundry facilities on each floor, there is no in-unit washers or dryers.
- there is a stove/oven in the apartment, however, since meals are provided, it would be nice if this were optional, perhaps with a microwave or toaster oven replacement.
- although the facility provides “seasonal storage”, overall there is limited storage for residents.

That’s it! Those are the cons (and as I said, they are minor). Now let’s talk about all the wonderful pros:
- First and foremost, the staff is WONDERFUL. In over a year, my family has not even encountered an “OK” experience - that’s how great they are. Each and every person truly takes their job to heart and the caring they have for the residents is evident each and every day. Thank you!
- The facilities are clean, bright, quiet, and homey. Definitely does NOT have that institutional feel. Also included are regular apartment cleanings (yay!)
- The food quality is good and not overwhelming. They provide 2 meals per day (which my mother definitely preferred rather than 3) and the team ensures everyone feels welcome with “eating buddies”. Even guests (for a fee and advance notice) can attend meals with the residents.
- There is a wide variety of activities (internal and external) that residents an participate in. Some are for a fee, but many are free.
- There are no stairs/steps that residents have to take from entering the building through to their residence (although there are steps between floors, if they so desire).
- They have gathering spots for family and friends and even an overnight room for guests to reserve.
- Residents have the option of bringing in additional services, if they need to, extending that bridge from the existing “independent living” to “assisted living”.
- And speaking of which, if residents need to make the next move, they get priority in the Legacy complexes.
- Other benefits include allowing my mother to bring in her house cat and the staff will even brush the snow off your car (if you own one and let them know!).

After a year, I highly recommend Legacy, and specifically Legacy at Parklands. By the way, did I say the staff are AWESOME!

I have worked at Legacy at Parklands for over a year now. I have greatly enjoyed my experience here. Working in a smaller community has allowed me to get to know all of our wonderful residents. I am also proud to tell people I love my job and all the people I work with.

After speaking with several residences at the Legacy, I was really impressed with all the complements they shared. The staff are very attentive and gave me the impression they were caring for family members. The management also seems to do a great job of planning a diverse set of activities and events to make things fun. Overall I see this as a comfortable place to call home! Might be mine in the near future!

Legacy at Parklands is a beautiful facility. When entering the building you are immediately greeted by the most welcoming and friendly staff members! Residents enjoy to strike up conversation and get to know you and you quickly become part of the community

It was the most awesome experience. I met so many wonderful people from other Legacys. The food is almost impossible to describe for the lack of words. It was so delicious and very diverse. The staff working the program was wonderful, kind and encouraging. Can't wait until the next one comes up, hope I will be able to experience it again.

The Gates-Chili Chamber of Commerce recently held a luncheon at Legacy and the food was fantastic! Working with Daniel was smooth and seamless. We were able to plan a menu that worked with our price point and they were willing to accommodate those with dietary restrictions. When we arrived, the dining room was all set up and they were able to work with us on last minute table arrangements as well as the technology that our speaker needed for his presentation. The service staff were courteous and very attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for a luncheon. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Legacy at Parklands is a community you need to join if you are looking for the warm feeling of being home. The staff interact with the residents like they are all part of one big family. The residents have smiles on their faces and are out enjoying the activities going on in the community. Great place to call home!

I have visited Legacy at Parklands many times over the last several years and it is such a pleasant atmosphere there. The exterior grounds and interior of the facility are always clean. The staff is friendly and always greet people with a smile. I've witnessed many residents enjoying their time in the common areas and while in the dining room. In a nutshell, it just always has a great vibe of emotions around the residents and sense of respect from the staff inside Legacy at Parklands.

Legacy at Parklands is a beautiful and vibrant community with welcoming and hospitable staff that are focused on promoting quality care and ensuring the ability for their residents to age in place.

I can’t say enough about the Legacy. Staff was amazing and treated my mom with dignity and respect for her entire stay. She felt safe with and comforted by everyone from the kitchen and wait staff to her nurses. The facility was clean and I loved that they offered fun, interactive activities. We were greeted daily with friendly and helpful associates and we really felt grateful knowing our mom was safe and well cared for during her time there.

All staff is so kind and knowledgeable! Such a clean and welcoming space. Nothing but good things to say about Legacy at Parklands!

The Legacy at Parklands is a beautiful community with residents and associates who treat each other like family. As one of those associates myself, I can honestly say that coming to work each day is a true joy. To have the opportunity to see our residents engaged in life and thriving each day is why we do what we do. With Parklands signature programming and amenities, we handle all of the day-to-day tasks to allow our residents to relax, be free of worry and spend time doing what they enjoy.

Parklands is a peaceful and friendly community with charming residents. The staff is outstanding. I always love seeing people out enjoying themselves with fun activities.
