Legends, New Suffolk NY

Food was excellent and the atmosphere was delightful. Great choice for when you're on the north fork and would like a bit of fine dining. They also have a bar section which is alot of fun if you just want to have a drink and watch the game.

Very nice diversified menu containing steaks, seafood, vegetarian specials, chowders and some excellent starters. Large selection of draft beer and and ample wine list. The service is first rate, friendly and efficient. Nice selection of deserts and coffee. Give Legends a try.

I’ve dined in a couple of times and the food was fine, but do yourself a huge favor and don’t order take out. Oh my god. Horrifying. I get that inflation is killing everyone right now.but for a $23 price tag I legit received 8 pieces of lettuce in my salad. And was told “the salad isn’t really a salad”…but uhhh it’s listed under salads? Maybe like put it somewhere else on the menu if you’re going to pull a bait and switch on the salad lovers?
“Nuts” listed as one of the ingredients. 4 pieces of chopped up nuts were in my salad. 4. Not even sure how they find that appropriate.
As for the other listed ingredients, let’s just say I was absolutely starving after I finished this “salad”.
When I called to make sure what I was seeing was actually intentional…I was told “well when you dine in we build up the salad with wontons underneath so it looks bigger”. The manager actually admitted to me they just rip people off blind. 1 thumb of for that I guess? ! Yikes.

Food was good. Tap beer was disgusting tried different tap beers. Paulaner hefe weiss and Hacker Pschorr Octoberfest. Lines were dirty and beer tasted terrible. Noticed another customer at the bar sent back his beer for the same reason. Finally got a bottled beer. If your going to have all those taps you better keep the lines clean.

Had a great Anniversary lunch with my wife at Legends. Friendly staff with quick service and excellent food. Highly recommend! A+

First time trying this place and I loved it.
Service was excellent, drinks came out fast, food was delicious.

Great spot for dinner and drinks. Nice bar crowd, was busy for us 4 on a Monday but we got in and had great food. Best Calimari I ever had and short rib delish.

It's an excellent restaurant with a "Cheers" like atmosphere. Well appointed, well done menu that has both change and stability.

Nice place, good service. Had the fish tacos which were excellent. My friend had the burger. Prices seem high but the food is of great quality. Only problem- both my friend and I were charged twice on our credit cards. No big deal- it was quickly resolve with my card provider.

Was visiting the North fork for some wine tasting and was given this spot as a recommendation. Great spot. Dinner was great. Cocktails were also very tasty. Short ribs, chicken, bacon avocado sandwich, prickly pear marg, and mint lemonade were excellent. Staff was very friendly as well. It's not far from the water as well.
I would definitely go again the next time we are up that way.

I'll start by saying the food is decent. Some warm bread and butter to accompany the pasta would have been ideal. The reason for the 3 stars is primarily because of the service.or lack there of. I was seated outside given water and immediately gave my drink and food order. My drink came 15 minutes after ordering. When it was delivered to my table I asked for a water refill. I never saw the water until I asked again once my pasta was brought. The pasta was brought 30 minutes after ordering. I ordered a side salad initially but when the pasta came I was told "Sorry, I forgot to tell you we don't have side salads but you can order an entree salad". I might have done that but figured it would have been another 20 minutes for it to arrive. The host brings me my pasta but never the utensils to eat it with. He apologized, brought more water and a knife and said he forgot the fork. Fork finally came, like I said, pasta was decent. The entire time, the host on the other side came out to ask 4 times how everything was, my host was a ghost. Unfortunate as I wouldn't mind coming back for the food but good service is just as important. Oh, after waiting and waiting I went inside to pay because the check never came out. The host was just standing inside!

We just ate dinner here on Sunday. This place is one of my favorite places to eat. I had the swordfish and my wife had the salmon, both were nicely done. The chef has a nice taste for combination of fresh catch and slightly eclectic combination of food preparation, which is refreshing. The only negative thing is that our server was a bit cool on response. We had to ask for bread and then ask for butter to accompany the bread. The starters which I had clams and chorizo in a tomato broth would lend itself for bread dipping and an upscale restaurant would automatically of brought this out to table. A simple but important gesture - in attention to service. The plate (s) are not on the inexpensive side, so bread should be understood. When the check arrived, it was dropped on my wife’s side of the table. It was by no means my birthday today. The food is very good but service can be hit/miss- unfortunately. I believe that is the reason God made beer as an accompany to food to overlook all else that comes at dinner time…. I had a few beers and a cappuccino with dessert.

I was very disappointed eating here this past Saturday. My boyfriend and I both ordered filet mignon, asked for it cooked medium and we got it extremely well done and charred. We then kindly asked for new steaks and they came out the same exact way. Definitely will not be back, and not worth the money!

I was very disappinted with my $42 entre which was on the Father's Day specials. The striped bass (local) was fine but the shrimp and mushrooms were awful and smoothered the fish. The atmosphere was beautiful but I don't know what to say about the food. Wish it had been better. I felt uncomfotable returning it when the waitress brought it out. I did tell her afterwards. She said I am sorry to hear that. I think at $42 for an entre someone should have cared a little more. The special coctail and then the tiramisu we shared for dessert were average.

Recently visited Legends while on vacation. The location does offer a great view of the water and has a decent selection of local wines, but the food is very sub-par. The menu seems vast and intriguing, but the taste is poorly delivered. We had the Asian Vegetable Stir-Fry with Chicken and the Panko-Parmesan Chicken during our visit. The vegetables tasted like they had come from the frozen section of your local grocery store and were simply plated. The green beans in the Stir-Fry were particularly bad and partially raw. The only saving grace was that there was salt/pepper on the table to correct the bland and underwhelming nature of the food. We have dined at many "fine dining" locations, but this experience was very poor and over-priced for food that lacked inspiration, excitement, and taste. Would not recommend to out of town folks.

It was Restaurant week, so four of us decided to try this place for dinner. We all have been here before. Two really liked their dinner. Me. Not impressed once again. Same complaint. Too many spicy dishes, heavy on certain ingredients. Appetizer: three of us had the eggplant tier with finely chopped tomatoes and feta cheese. Good but what killed it for me, too much balsamic glaze. Oh the American chefs need to learn how to use this stuff and take a lesson from European chefs. One person ordered the spicy shrimp. She said it was good. Our main course for all four of us was the swordfish, risotto and string beans. No one wanted spicy. Nothing special here at all. In fact the Chef drizzled balsamic glaze on the fish. Really now? Dessert: two had the gelato which was good and two had the walnut cake rolled in whipped cream. Awful.full of heavy cream and so little cake. Sorry I ordered it. Would have enjoyed the gelato. Waitress was helpful. Service very nice. Room was pleasant and the music did not drown out conversation. Not my favorite plaice.
