7What a joy to be back at Celebrate Brooklyn in the Bandshell newly re-christened for the legendary Lena Horne. (Perfect that another legend, Buffy Saint-Marie, was my first show back.)
Love this park and the bandshell. The paid and free concerts are great. Not OVERLY crowded like other park festivals. Great for groups too.
It is a Brooklyn staple that has been around for 25 plus years. One of the best venues to see live music I have volunteered there for 9 plus years.
It was a beautifully sunny Saturday I. June and the park was packed with people celebrating graduations, bday, and other events. This section of the park is well kept, clean and the playground is nice and right by the bathroom. Unfortunately they closed both male and female restrooms super early by 4: 30 pm for plumbing issues. Major inconvenience on a packed day.
Have a life changing discussion with someone in this historical setting and watch the sunset. That's a BK experience for whenever.
One of the greatest parks in the New York area. So many things to be done in this park. Just stop by and follow the music if you're lucky.
Had a great time. Went to see a dance concert. Although it rained, the concert was able to proceed. Very professional.
