Turkish Restaurant Leyla reviews
14Needed to cancel due to a flight delay during a snow storm and they charged us $25 per person. Infuriating! We will NEVER go back and get the word out about this insane policy.
SO glad to have finally tried Leyla! We had a fabulous celebratory group dinner that was across the board 12/10!
The service was A+; friendly, accommodating and attentive staff. The atmosphere lovely; so many nice touches that made it feel warm and homelike including beautiful ceramic dishware. We ordered a large part of the menu and agreed we would order every dish again. The dishes were so thoughtful with a clear effort to sourcing quality ingredients- every vegetable was particularly delicious. I don't usually write reviews but this was well deserved.
Leyla‘s staff was very accommodating and found a table for us on a very busy evening. The food was excellent and very fresh, with a great selection of ingredients and quite affordable for that quality. Having had a lot of Turkish food in Turkey and Europe, I can absolutely confirm that this is genuine, upscale Turkish food. The ambiance in the back of the the back of the restaurant was also very nice
Everything about this restaurant was on point. The cozy atmosphere, the impeccable service and the delicious food. Our outting was a double date and we shared multiple dishes.
Very much recommend as I want to go back already!
For what it is, it was good. The only problem is the price for the food was way out of proportion for what you got.
It's good Turkish homemade cooking with good seasonings, but the price is kinda wild. I understand what's necessary as a small restaurant in NYC but I can't help but feel I didn't get my money's worth.
Overall, pretty alright food but I probably won't be coming back again just due to how expensive it was.
Brunch and dinner. Dine in! I love the food as much as the atmosphere. Can’t wait for summers again to dine in the back patio.
My in-laws are from Turkey and were visiting. Found Leyla last minute nearby museum. We had a wonderful experience and the cuisine is very authentic and absolutely delicious. If anyone wants a great Turkish dinner, this is the place to go. No other Turkish restaurant in the city in our experience comes close. We will certainly be back.
Reasonable prices, friendly staff, delicious brunch! Got the breakfast pide without the sausage. Wish it had more egg on it, and less chives, but otherwise great!
We came at 1pm on a Saturday with no reservation and didn't have to wait for a table.
Fantastic food in a very cute little restaurant.
Kameel (forgive me if I misspell) made the night.
Food is divine! Can't go wrong with any dish. Cocktails are innovative and well worth it! We were there at 9pm on a Saturday night and nearly every table was full - it's a neighborhood favorite. That said, service was pretty slow, though very kind and accommodating. A new favorite that we'll certainly return to!
The food was delicious! Intense flavors. Great variety on the menu. Loved the atmosphere. The service was friendly but a bit slow. We had to wait a while to order our main dishes and again to order dessert and for the check. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect dinner out.
Cute spot with excellent food, service and atmosphere. The drinks were delicious.
Three cheese Pide and an octopus are a must-try.
I was looking for a Turkish restaurant on the UWS and found this one online. Overall, I was satisfied with my order and the place deserves 4.5 stars.
We ordered erishte, izmir meatballs, and chicken. We loved both erishte and meatballs, but the chicken was dry and not tasty.
As for the service, I'd say the waitresses are nice and good communicators.
