My son just graduated from Lightbridge Academy after participating in their Montesori-like curriculum these past 3 years (a founding baby of the center hahaha). He is bound to Kindergarten this Fall with a more than solid background to be successful in his academic endeavors over the next six years.

A huge shout out to the many lovely and caring faculty (Ms. Pat, Ms. Kylee, to name a few) and staff he encountered while at the Academy. The formidable Administration team (Ms. Sarina, Ms. Kristy, and Ms. Maggie) make parents' admission through graduation process remarkable. Their financial expectations are on par with the return on investment you will receive from the care and learning your child will experience.

We will entrust them once again this Fall as our 3year old dizzy devil returns to them for the next two academic terms.

We LOVE Lightbridge! We have 2 kids there (1 and 2.5). We love how much they feel like family, and the kids LOVE their teachers! I had back surgery and had to reluctantly drop off my 2 month old full time unexpectedly. Kristy found room in the class, and they took such good care of my little baby, when I was unable to! My kids know all the teachers (even if they aren't theirs), and all the teachers know my kids too! They learn so much! My son knew all his numbers, colors, shapes, and letters before turning 2 years old. Also, the sign language they teach the babies was so helpful when we learned my son's ears were filled with fluid, and he couldn't hear-it took so long for him to get the surgery during COVID, and the sign language was so helpful. I recommended Lightbridge to a friend of mine, and she said it was the cleanest daycare she had seen (she looked at 7 others). I love that Ms. Nancy has caterpillars in the class and the kids watch them turn into butterflies! Ms. Donna and Ms. Destiny are miraculous calmly taking care of babies all day long. I would never send my kids anywhere else-we trust them completely, and often ask their advice. I have even made a few parent friends at Lightbridge too.

Our kids learn so much! We feel like a family. All the teachers know both our kids, and the kids say hi to everyone! They are helpful, if we need help. The teachers work very hard to teach even the little ones. They even learn sign language as babies! My son knew all his numbers, colors, shapes, and letters before the age of 2! But mostly, we really do feel like family.

Our daughter has been attending LightBridge Academy’s Pre-Kindergarten program for a month now and we absolutely love it! Due to Covid, we checked multiple daycares and only LightBridge met our safety/ cleaning needs. Plus, they aren’t packing out their classrooms like the other daycares in the area are. At drop off they check the child’s AND parents temperature. They are constantly washing the kids hands, cleaning the classroom and they even wipe down the cots the kids sleep on (sheets are placed on each cot and they still clean them down afterwards). I know all this because I have access to Parentview and I watch the cameras throughout the day to make sure my daughter is Ok. With Parentview, I see her classroom, the playground and the multipurpose room. You only have permission to watch the rooms where your child will be, not all classrooms.
We receive daily Tadpole updates throughout the day with pictures of the kids and activities they have worked on.
I feel like LightBridge is run more like a school than a actual daycare. They have weekly themes they work on with matching arts and crafts and classwork. They also send a homework packet each week that reflects the theme they are learning that week. By the end of each week, I have over 10 new pieces of artwork to put up around our home.
She loves going in each day and playing/ learning with her friends. When we pick her up, she says “you interrupted me” because she was in the middle of an activity and wanted to stay behind to finish it. Her teacher is there the ENTIRE day. At her previous daycare, there were ton of floaters in and out of the classroom the entire day, no consistent routine and teachers with zero classroom management.
Parents, if you are looking for a safe and educational childcare, LightBridge in Massapequa is the place to go. I am a very picky parent, I called them numerous times with multiple questions before we enrolled her there and they were patient with me every step of the way.
Also, daycare students are not required to wear a mask. We send our daughter with a mask because she has Asthma and it is a requirement of her Pulmanologist that she wear one. They told us they would work with her to make sure she wears it and they do! Again, thanks to Parentview I see she wears it all the time, with the exception of snack/ lunch time, playtime outside and nap time. They work with the parents and they are giving these kids the best experience ever. I wish they would have opened years ago so she could have been there from the very start!
Sign up, you won’t regret it.

My 2-year-old has been attending Lightbridge since he turned 1, and it really feels like a home away from home for him. He loves going to "school" every day and knows the names and smiling faces of nearly everyone who works there. All of his teachers have been caring, well qualified and amazing. I love that the curriculum is geared toward learning through play and focuses on opportunities for social development, sensory play, art and lots of time running around outdoors (SO important for my toddler boy). I also love that the owner, director and assistant director are so responsive, personable and helpful.

The ParentView camera system and Tadpoles app (where teachers send pictures and videos) are an added bonus. It's so nice to be able to check in on him throughout the day and have peace of mind knowing he's well cared for and happy. We're so grateful for our Lightbridge family and everything they do. I know my son will continue to have many happy years there leading up to kindergarten.

Lightbridge Academy of Massapequa is a very well run daycare center, with an excellent team running thoughtful programs across all age groups - from infant to Pre-K. They are outstanding from all perspectives. Safety. Cleanliness. Development (Academically, Socially, Creatively). Within one month of enrolling our daughter, we noticed a drastic positive difference in all growth potential areas. She is very happy and so are we. Very grateful to have found this center - it is outstanding.

As a first time mom needing to leave my infant at 12 weeks old, Lightbridge has been a beyond amazing daycare so far. The administrative and classroom staff are all so helpful and caring. The focus on social and early learning skills has been a great benefit. She is now 6 months old, happy and tackling milestones:)

Facility: The facility is brand new and beautiful. There is a ton of great features for parents such as fingerprint technology for drop off and pick up, camera access for your child's classroom and common areas and an online/smart phone app called Tadpoles to track your child's day and receive updates from the facility and teachers.

Classroom: There are certified lead teachers and well-trained care givers in each classroom. I mostly use classroom camera access just to get a quick peek when I'm missing her throughout the day but the staff is always interacting with all of the kids when I do log on. The teachers in her infant room are very nurturing and communicate frequently. Throughout the day they will send pictures of her playing, working on milestone skills or participating in an activity. These get sent via the Tadpoles app on my phone with provides a quick smile and some comfort while I'm at work:) When I pick her up a daily report is generated on the app which lets me know when she slept, ate and had diaper changes. As well, there will be additional daily notes from the teacher or alerts if you are running low on supplies. All of these milestone photos and daily reports are saved on the app for you to reference back to as well.

As an additional perk, comparative to other programs in my search, Lightbridge does not charge you for "extended hours". It is one price no matter how early or late they are there within their open hours (7am-6: 30pm). Many other facilities wanted to charge extra weekly if I needed hours before 8am or after 4pm.
