Mediterranean Restaurant Limani reviews
17Had dinner at Limani yesterday. Everything was good. The layout and atmosphere was calming. Service and food was perfect! I had lamb chops, organic chicken, limani salad, and the mushrooms (my highlight).
My wife and I had a great experience at Limani. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was wonderful. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful time out.
Excellent food and great ambiance, a bit too noisy
Try the lunch pre-fix for $39, it is a steal.
The scallops were perfectly grilled
Limani is one of the nicer Greek restaurants in the Rockefeller Center area. They have a fabulous pre-fix lunch menu. The restaurant is a little loud but beautiful inside, the food is solid, and the service has always been great. The best seats in the house are the ones right next to the pool in the center of the restaurant.
First Class restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food and atmosphere. Perfect location and prices were acceptable for the Rockefeller Center location. Loved the Galatobureko dessert.
Amazing fish and all of the Mediterranean dishes are excellent! Because they are so good, the place is packed for lunch. Hence, quite noisy and not ideal for lunch meeting.
I like Limani. I love the USDA prime bone in cowboy ribeye. I like the mushrooms and crab cake. I like the beet with Greek yogurt and honey. I enjoy the center pool and overall environment. Quite pleasant and unique. Friendly and attentive service.
My husband loved his food, a fish cooked whole, like he had in England. My lamb chops were also good, as well as the accompanying vegetables. However, the sea scallop shish kabob appetizer was not cooked enough, as well as not being particularly flavorful. If I had it to do over, I would have sent it back to be cooked longer, but usually when I do that, it ruins the whole pace of dinner. The other thing that I didn't love was the chairs. They were shaped like the number 5 without the top part, and it bugged me. That didn't bother my husband, and to be fair, they would have moved us to a booth.
If you want fresh seafood this is a great place. Greek preparations were fantastic. Salmon, tuna, and halibut were cooked ro perfection. They catered to food allergies as well. Staff was great! Will definitely return.
Wasn’t impressed. The food was fine, but didn’t feel special. Lamb was over cooked but we didn’t have anyone check in so we just ate it. Stick to items that are not MP and go when it’s on your company card. There was an older gentleman who cleared our table and he was lovely but for the price we paid, I didn’t feel taken care of.
An insult to the ingredients. Honestly. I had Tuna Tartare - menu said it would contain orange, chilli, avocado. There was one piece of orange on top. Chilli was not to be found or felt. Avocado was below the tuna. Nothing was mixed up. There were no spices. It tasted so bland I couldn’t finish it and this is the absolute first time this happened to me with a tuna tartare. I then had tuna steak. The steak itself was great. The veggies it came with were utterly bland. Bland beetroot with no spices, bland sauteed spinach leaves, bland puree. Honestly, I was spicing food better than this allegedly high end restaurant at 14 in my first attempts at cooking. It’s really sad. My mom could also barely eat her food due to how bland it was. My dad did not finish his meal either. This is super rare and we are not even picky eaters. The only high end part about this meal was the price. Total ripoff. 400 dollars for 3 people, for a completely completely disappointing, bland, uninspiring meal. Sad. Please do yourself a favour and do not trust their high rating, keep away, and find a proper restaurant that puts some soul in their cooking.
Beautiful space. Thinly sliced eggplant app is outstanding. All the apps were great, mains were well done but kind of unimaginative and generic. Not especially Greek.
With elegant decor this restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience. Attentive staff was friendly and serviceable throughout our meal. Lastly the food was exceptional from the grilled octopus to the lamb chops. Will definitely be back again to explore the menu!
Not recommend for kids, very expensive. But very good
Three-course lunch special delighted my palate from start to finish. The tomatoes salad was beautifully seasoned. Sea bass with caper sauce was delicious. Whipped yogurt was a tasty final course.
The staff is amazing and only matched by the quality of food. Kolokithi and Organic Salmon were delicious.
Incredibly Beautiful Atmosphere… A wonderful and fancy sheik place to take a date or Family before a Radio City show. I Highly suggest experiencing it, I personally loved the environment and atmosphere.
Atmosphere was amazing. Dimly lite and intimate. The food was great. We shared the zucchini eggplant and tzatziki sauce, the fired calamari, the mussels minus the dill and French fires (the fries were not good - too thick and not well seasoned) the baklava was amazing but we couldn't finish it. The wait service was overly aggressive. When deep in our conversation they kept asking us to remove the food. Like if we were done and we kept saying no we are still working on it etc. Has we really were using the time to catch up and chit chat (mind you we were in the Resturant for less than 1 hour and 30 total but they were in a rush to get us out and no it wasn't packed and no they weren't closing yet) it seemed super strange but it was all in all a great experience. Probably would not return just from the service aspect of it.
