Lim's Kitchen reviews
13The food was good but the prices are steep for the amount. My bulgogi over rice was $18 and the bulgogi bibimbap was $20. We dined in but it was like a cafeteria so we just opened out to go box. Will not be going back here.
Ordered takeout in person. The food was okay, but I didn’t feel like the price justified the flavor. The bulgolgi was slightly dry and the army stew felt like it was missing something. The location itself is pretty empty/ ghost kitchen vibes, the photos on here don’t reflect the current location. The staff was nice tho and i didn’t feel like I waited long. I would maybe try something else in the future. I spent $40 on two entrees, if I had spent closer to $25-30 I would’ve felt more satisfied.
I ate it through delivery. The tteokbokki had an inexplicable sour taste, so I ate a little bit and just dealt with it. I didn't wash the tteok, so I don't know if it tasted like alcohol or what. The kimbap was delicious.
Hands down the slowest kitchen. Staff completely ignores everyone waiting food may be good but the poor customer service makes this place not worth. McDonald's gives better service and that says alot
I love this Korean restaurant and have ordered delivery several times during the pandemic! I’ve tried Army stew, fried chicken wings, bulgogi over rice, spicy rice cake, kimbap etc, and I like all of them! It’s kind of hard to find a restaurant where every dish tastes pretty satisfying. In addition, everything is wrapped well. Definitely a must try!
Ordered takeout. Broth of the Jjampong was very watery. Jjajang noodle to sauce ratio was bad, small portion of noodles and there was so much sauce leftover. Fried chicken wasn't that good.
I order delivery from here frequently - probably one of the best places for Korean food around LIC / Astoria. The budae jjigae is always loaded with fillings and flavorful, kimbap is delicious (though a bit overpriced) and yookgaejang is also legit. Fried chicken is tasty and fresh! Recommend if you’re looking to satisfy your Korean craving
Ordered fried chicken wings (soy garlic), Jja Jang Mian and Beef tofu stew soup.
Jja Jang mian is my favorite dish so far. All are flavorful and tasty, will dine in next time.
Ordered three different dishes and only two dishes came and even one of them was something we did not order. Called them to let them know but they never picked up the phone.
The Korean fried chicken is great. But when they tell you the sauce is hot, believe them. That hot sauce is not playing. Yummy hot pepper goodness.
Just ordered takeout for dinner- food was phenomenal. Def recommend & will be ordering again soon!
Omg by far one of the best places i’ve been to.their boneless chicken is *chefs kiss* DELICIOUS! Felt like i was having the best chicken ever.will def come back:)
What a hidden gem in LIC, I’m so glad we have found our local fave Korean comfort kimbap (and maybe KFC too hehe)
We were pretty hungry so devoured every bit of food shown (except for the fries, they could’ve been more crispy, but it was way too soft for our liking). The spicy tuna kimbap was good (I would say medium-hot spice but I very much enjoyed it), and the boneless chicken with Korea sweet&spicy sauce was a good choice bc (don’t be fooled by the exterior) the meat was SO TENDER AND JUICY on the inside of every single bite!
Some things that can possibly be improved is the bulgogi flavor inside kimbap, the meat was almost flavorless to my imo, I had to level it up and dip it in the tteoboki sauce or add fish cake on top to make it more flavorful. The spicy rice cake was cooked just right chewiness and PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and add crispy seaweed rolls onto it, you will thank me later! The energy and vibe of the environment was also very good for the types of food they served, all about chill/comfort and relax ~
