Lizzie's Supermarket, Bronx NY

Awful customer service by manager/owner. Today (3/13/2022), my wife and I went to this supermarket to buy tortillas that was priced at a certain price. At the register it was scanned at a higher price. Even after pointing the price out to the manager and the manager apologizing for having the wrong price, they would not honor the price that was listed. If this was a professional establishment, they would have honor the price that was listed. I felt I was scammed. My wife or I will NEVER shop here again.

I got there 12: 30 pm on a Saturday to get an egg sandwich. There were three people working the grill. One man was taking my order and the other grill man told me that I can’t have an egg sandwich because their grill was closed to prepare for lunch. I feel he discriminated against me because the other man was taking my order and it was only 12: 30 pm on the busiest day of the week. I asked what time the grill normally closes and he said 4: 00 pm. I didn’t even argue, I just left. Another time they took my order and completed everyone else’s order that was in the store before mine. Even people that came after me got their orders before me and I only ordered 3 sandwiches.

This is the nasty meat I had to throw out in the over priced sandwich I ordered. I and they forgot the cheese on my wife’s sandwich. Literally ham and. O wait. No cheese. 1/2 star

Very expensive, they have no variety and they charged me $ 32 for two six pack of beer.

Went to the lizzies to buy paper towels. For a 2 pack of bounty paper towels.they wanted 8 dollars. Freaking insane. I walked out of the store.

I personally have shopped in the store for over ten years. My husband has been going in there now consistently for 4 years. Everyone in the store knows him including the owners. Recently with everything going on they have disgusted me with their price gouging.
However, even worse has been their lack of respect toward hired workers. They hired a well-known local service to do work in their store and then when it was time to pay a reasonable cost they refused. They tried to come up with excuses on why they refused to pay and were 100% wrong. The company is well known and respected in the area.
The store now has completely lost my respect and I will never walk in there ever again

$50 for hand sanitizer.sounds like price gouging. This is all over the internet. The entire neighborhood is understandably furious.
