Lokum Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar, Brooklyn NY

I celebrated my birthday yesterday here at Lokum with my family, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. To top it off, the manager surprised us with a gift, making our experience there even more memorable and enjoyable.

Birthday dined here tonight, one word to review this place “spectacular” the service given by Hasan was exceptionally amazing. This is our new number one spot in Brooklyn. Not to mention, management came to the table to check in and make sure everything was to our expectation. He has a restaurant like no other. Congratulations and best of luck on this beautiful hot spot! See you soon!

We discovered this genuinely great place through the Seated app, and it has since been our favorite visit in Brooklyn for an amazing eating experience.
This restaurant, in my opinion, deserves a Michelin star, if not two.
I enjoy the interior design, which is both elegant and comfortable.
Pleasant as well as effective service.
There were a lot of selections, and every meal we tasted was perfect!
The meals are something that makes you want to return again and again, honestly.
Excellent appearance and taste. I never expected to eat the most exquisite and perfectly cooked risotto I'd ever had at a Mediterian restaurant. That, however, is exactly what happened.

A wonderful establishment in every sense! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, the service is top notch! Very cozy, music suitable for any occasion. It's very beautiful in the hall. The portions are large and the food is really delicious I recommend it to everyone!

A new place, adjacent to Macy's Next Door. Great terrace. View. Mediterranean menu, very tasty. Dishes could be a bit bigger in size for the price tag, but ultimately, a nice and healthy menu, great views, and caring young staff. They just opened, we provided some feedback which they asked for while my friend and I were dining there, they seem eager to make this place popular and loved in the hood.

Great restaurant with one exception
I had a great experience at this restaurant 10/21/2023.
The atmosphere was pleasant, the music was great, and the service was excellent. I only had one issue: I ordered the grilled salmon, and it was very dry. I had it replaced, but it was still dry. I think it was the chef's mistake to accept such fish.

Otherwise, everything was great. The pasta was delicious, the salads were delicious, and the cocktails were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

An absolutely amazing experience we had at Lokum Mediterranean Restaurant while hosting a baby shower. The entire experience, from the moment we walked in, was exceptional. The warm and welcoming staff immediately put us at ease, and the level of service provided was beyond compare.
The variety of Mediterranean dishes offered at Lokum is truly outstanding. The quality of the cuisine is unparalleled, and each dish is a masterpiece in itself. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but it was also presented beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the incredible flavors and impeccable presentation. However, the Lokum Mediterranean Restaurant team managed to alleviate every bit of that stress and concern, the atmosphere felt like a cozy family gathering, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our special day.

Pleasant and cozy entourage. Food is great. Choice of dishes is excellent. Loved everything but especially avocado ganush. Stuff is polite and helpful.

Beautiful ambiance, and while the setting was truly enchanting, I must admit that I was disappointed by the food. The restaurant's decor, with its soft lighting and elegant furnishings, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a special celebration.
However, when it came to the food, my expectations were not met. The menu looked promising, but the dishes I ordered fell short. The flavors lacked depth. It was evident that the focus was on the restaurant's aesthetic appeal rather than the culinary experience.

As someone who’s vegan I appreciate Lokum’s options (which they stated is still growing) and a sign of the times. The atmosphere when dining in is amazing, but most importantly their food was excellent.

I don’t like anywhere near Brooklyn, but it’s a foregone conclusion that I’ll be eating there during my travels to Brooklyn.

Our first time to Sheepshead Bay via boat from RYC. Stayed at Miramar yacht club. We were looking for a good local Mediterranean or Turkish restaurant along Emmons Ave. Had a few places in mind as we walked along. Stopped at Lokum and decided we’d eat there. What a great decision! Food was delicious, decor modern & elegant, they had a jazz trio playing and our waiter Fort was fabulous. Starting with our goddess salad, oh can’t wait to have it again, with added falafel then shared a few plates including grilled octopus, zucchini pancakes, avocado ganouj (like baba but with avocado added!) with the airiest pita bread and sweet, delicious haloumi. A couple of glasses of white wine and then sublime baklava for dessert. If only we could have lingered longer. Next time for sure. Can’t wait to go back again!

Everything here is amazing!
Loved the outdoor patio seating, and so did our toddler who joined us for dinner. The live band was just perfect! It was a gorgeous night and the staff was on point!
And the food- was incredible. Presentation and quality were beyond my expectations! We ordered several drinks, apps, entrees and deserts.
The smoked ribeye- yum! So fun the way it is presented in the glass dome. The steak and lamb dinner were tender. The Turkish Kunefe was delightful and the cocktails were great. I am always pleasantly surprised to see lychee on the menu! I can't wait to go back!
